Issue – The standard Mocha AE shortcuts don't work anymore and CMD+A immediately closes Mocha AE without saving. Even switching the shortcuts presets and reinstalling didn't help.
Adobe After Effects version number – 25.1.0 (Build 68)
Operating system – macOS Sequoia 15.1.1
Steps to reproduce – Try to use Mocha shortcuts, like ‘X’ to move the viewer, ‘Q / W / E’ to move / rotate / scale masks, or ‘CMD+A’ to select all points in a mask.
Expected result – When hitting ‘CMD+A’ all points in the current mask should be selected.
Actual result – Mocha AE closed without saving and without producing an error message.
Ctrl+A still closes Mocha AE without saving. surley this is a simple bug and should have been fixed by now? It looks like it was reported ages ago. Its infuriating when I have masked a very detailed area and then I lose everything.
Hello John, Is there any update on this issue yet? It definitely is hard to work without the shortcuts we are used to and this CTRL+A is one of the essential ones!
Thank you for reporting this issue, @ajjax44. We've had it reported previously and have passed the report along to the team at BorisFX. I'll be merging this thread with the existing thread so future communication on the fix can occur in a single location.
I just tried the Q/W/E/X shortcuts (these just stand-in for keys I use the most) again and curiously they work again, with the default Mocha AE preset.
The CMD+A shortcut remains the main issue, though.
Thank you for reporting this issue. We are also able to reproduce it on our side and have opened a ticket to investigate along with the team at BorisFX.
In our testing, only the Cmd/Ctrl+A shortcut appears to cause Mocha to close. The X, Z, Q, W, and E hotkeys all appear to work as expected. Does that match what you are seeing as well?
