Frequent Account sign-out, inability for CC to handle sessions correctly.

Searched this issue on this forum and there are no solutions.  As a tech, I have seen this for years across various clients and I do not know why it has not been resolved.  However, as an issue it is insanity how much time and frustration is caused by this when you need to WORK and before you can read a PDF or work in any app you have to sign in... often and also sign out of the same device you're already technically signed into because Adobe doesn't want to bother to deal with how it handles sessions and identify devices.

  • I'm finding after installing updates or rebooting my system I'm promted to sign in much to often.  If it were once a month I could deal, but it can be multiple times a week.
  • Once signed in I'm again prompted with a device activation limit, even though it's the same device that has already been signed in.

I'm going to keep this short.  These are professional products, with high monthly subscription fees, that people depend on to work.  It's bad enough the code is so bloated that these apps run as slow as a Win98 machine with 1 core and 8GB of ram from the late 90's not a modern 12 core running at 4+ Ghz with 256GB of ram.  Having your flow interupted to "sign in" because adobe wants us constantly paying for the same software each month is insult to injury.  Seriously, this is not OK.  Please Adobe put some urgency and money into this and figure it out.

I would also ask that some additional leeway be added to this device activation limit.

  • Limit to actual product run time not device activation.  Allow for multiple devices to be registered, but limit apps to being open on two devices at the same time.  I get you're trying to prevent multiple end users from taking advantage, but most of us have more than two deevices!  You're already sending plenty of telemetry back, a little more isn't going to hurt.
  • Increase the device activation count to 3 at least.  Even MS has a 5 device limit.
  • Share what checks determine a device so end-users can make decisions about changes to their system which might trigger a login or device check.

That's what Adobe told me last in an email, suggested it was Sophos AV.  I never chased it downn.  But I always go back to the point that a lot of other apps i have basically have this same function and work without tripping Windows or AV up.  So what exactly is CC doing, and does it have to be done that way?

I don't sign out ever; however, CC forces me to sign in next time even though I use the same laptop. Consequently, I am forced to sign out one of the sessions then I may be able to get in. Sometime, I have to reboot ot wait a while to use CC.

I havn't tried since I sent my laptop in to get repaired and it was reformateed.  But yes, it was happening all the time.  A couple times a week.  I havn'ent noticed it recenlty so maybe an update has resolved the problem.  But I'm only logged into one computer.  I'll test it out later and report back.

I have the same issue. I even called the support line to attempt to fix it. After chasing the endless menu option, the voice system was telling me that there is no agent support for my selection. It aggrevated more. Use AI for better support and fix this annoying problem.

All I can say is while the issue is technical in nature.  The roadblock to the solution is not.

Regardless of my device configuration I have lots of software; MS365, AVID ProTools, Countless utilites and media applications installed on my systems. They all have this cloud based, device dependend licesning/ activation function and none of them have this problem.  Adobe has a close relationship with MS and Apple.  The solution exists in excess.

It's as if Adobe farmed this function to a 3rd party software provider and the experience is out of their hands.

The only way this will get solved is if this message gets passed the support teams, PM's and mid level managers that probably sweep these problems under the rug in favor of meeting goals and earnig performance incentives.  They think they are providing value for their price, but cloud activation only provides value for the companies.  End-users get nothing out of it.  They miss the financial overhead generated by lost productivity, technical support bills and toxic tech fatigue we are burdened with and I'm honestly tired of the avalanch of software problems these days.

I'm sure there is some executive or director that would understand these points and crack a whip, they just need to be made aware.  This company had revenues of 17.61 billion dollars last year.  There is no reason we should have to deal with this issue or any of the other myriad of show stoping problems you could find in these forums.

any significant hard ware change has long trigger adobe to recognize a new computer, but the problem i've seen and you're describing extends beyond any hard ware change.
