Following on from our twitter conversation yesterday, regarding LR v9.4 support for Z5 with FTZ and the Nikkor 16mm f2.8 lens. Please see the video for the issue. Regards Mark ps I say in the video Z7, which is wrong it's the Z5
LR doesn't import GPS coordinates stored in QuickTime:GPSCoordinates in MP4 videos (.mp4), though it does for Quicktime videos (.mov). To reproduce: 1. Import the .mp4 and .mov files in this folder: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6hga1ka2tm61v0o/mp4-gps-bug.2021.02.25.zip?dl=0 2. Observe that the .mov shows GPS coordinates in the Metadata panel, while the .mp4 does not. 3. Use Exiftool to see that the files have identical QuickTime:GPSCoordinates: $ exiftool -quicktime:gpscoordinates mp4-gps-bug.MP4 GPS Coordinates : 34 deg 0' 0.00" N, 38 deg 0' 0.00" W, 0 m Above Sea Level $ exiftool -quicktime:gpscoordinates mp4-gps-bug.mov GPS Coordinates : 34 deg 0' 0.00" N, 38 deg 0' 0.00" W, 0 m Above Sea Level Tested on LR 10.1.1 / Mac OS 10.15.7.
Hi, have been struggling to find an answer to my problem:If i draw a face region or if a photo has already the data of the face region and i rotate it 90° and i remove the photo from lightroom and re-import, it won't recognize the facetags despite that the information is in the XMP.*As long as the photo is horizontal (that is normal orientation), there is no problem, i can delete the photo from Lightroom and re-import and it wil recognize the face region with the person's name.i have tried to edit xmp metadata in all sorts of ways with exiftool to see if that would fix the problem but havent' had any luck.I would appreciate any help to fix this issue.-UPDATE: I posted this issue in Adobe Forums https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2626690 and we got to the conclusion that it is A BUG, so if this is correct please this has to be solved.Thanks.
The bug that I reported here has not been squashed in the latest Lightroom. The problem is hysteresis in the response of points on the tone curve control when following mouse movements. If you drag a point (say, the white point) in the Tone Curve and move it back and forth, after a few drags you will not be able to put the point back in the upper right corner of the response panel. The underlying cause is that (a) the point does not move directly with the cursor (LR hides the cursor so you can't see this, but when you let go of the mouse button you will see that the cursor does not align with the point, (b) as you drag, the relationship between the cursor position and the point changes, when the point hits the right edge of the box and the cursor continues to the right, then when you move the cursor back to the left it does not "pick up" the point at the same location that it "left" the point, and (c) the (invisible) cursor is limited by Mac OS to stay on the screen. The work-around (
Ever since the V10 update my email out of LR Classic has quit working, but instead returns the above error message. I have reset the preferences, deleted and readded my email client to no avail. Still does not work and from the forum, it looks like there are lots of nil value errors happening. Technical Information: Lightroom Classic Version 8.4.1Operating on an Apple MacBook Pro 2016, 2.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 With macOS Catalina 10.15Description: Normally exporting jpeg's as I do, and it crashes for no reason. I have to foce quit the application and hard restart the computer for me to be able to boot Lightroom again. Very strange issue. My friend is having the same issue on his older MacBook. This is incredibly frustrating as I need to export many photos....
In Lightroom CC Classic v8.2 I have an image that I flipped horizontally. Then I 'open in Photoshop' (version 20.0.3) and it is upside down.If I rorate 180 degrees, then it shows correctly. It is not clear if the fault is with LR or PS.Windows 10AMD
Since the last Update to V10.1.1 i cant't "Light out" the second screen. It only works on first screen. Is It a bug or can I fix this problem? Thank you.
I have folders marked as favorite and I cannot unmark them. When I open the context menu, I can mark it as favorite (even though it already is) and then unmark it, but the star next to the folder icon stays. Since I updated to the latest version, I can mark and unmark new folders at first without any problems, but later not anymore. I think the only thing I did was filtering on the favorite folders only followed by trying to unmark a folder while the filter is active. Afterwards its not working for any folder anymore.
Since v10 'include subfolders' on import screen always resets to not showing subfolders, in v9 if you clicked 'show subfolders' it persisted until the checkbox was changed. Can we restore this behaviour to v9 version.
Shift+T should toggle between brush and edit mode. However, it does the same as T, it shows/hides the toolbar.
LIGHTROOM 4 I migrated from LR3. I never installed the beta because I didnt want to deal with BETA ISSUES. I wanted a product that worked as it should immediately out of the box. [Does ADOBE understand that???] I BOUGHT LR4, installed it on my computer, updated the library, and then opened an image I had been working on but not completed in LR3. I clicked to update it to the newer processing and IMMEDIATELY there was torrential lag. My CPU Usage meter showed maxed out. I decided to reset the image and start from scratch. This worked for a very short time. As soon as I began using the adjustment brush the lag started building - the more I used it, the worse it got. I then decided to open an image that had never been opened in LR3. Same issue. As soon as I started using the adjustment brush or the spot removal there was lag. and it got worse and worse the more I used it. Again my CPU meter showed maxed out. My RAM never jumped about 50% utilized though.... I am running: Intel® CoreTM i7-
Since I have updated to LR Classic, I have an issue with my keyword list. I have hierarchical keywords. Some on the top level are numbered and some of the top level have no child keywords. Since the update the keywords on the top level and the second level hierarchy are no longer in alphabetical order. Some keywords seem to be ordered correctly, but several others are not. The keywords which are not ordered alphabetically seem to get ordered by a change/creation date or so.I do not use LR CC and have not done any keyword changes on my mobile devices.Has anybody an idea, what I could do about it? Is there I setting, I have missed?
Since upgrading yesterday to v10.0 my LR Classic Windows desktop no longer syncs with my LR on iPad. I have rebuilt the sync data a couple of times and signed out and back into Creative Cloud a couple of times - all to no avail. This is really frustrating and renders LR unfit for purpose for my workflow at least. For example, if I create a sync collection in LR Classic the collection does not appear on my iPad. Likewise if I create a new album in LR Mobile on my iPad and add photos to it, the album and its photos do not appear in LR Classic. Can you please fix this asap.
Steps: -Import HEIC photos into LR Classic. -Use facial detection to frame and tag photos -Save Metadata to File. -Verify Region info is in XMP file -Delete Imported photos -Re-Import Photos (with XMP file) -No longer detects the face regions/names -BUT... only for portrait photos. Works fine with landscape or photos rotated to landscape HELP!!!
When I repeatedly drag an image from side to side in the Development module zoomed in at 100%, image sometimes kind of jumps back as if my mouse was suddenly moved back. This doesn't happen if I move a box in the Navigator window, and this started after the last update.
I am having this exact same problem, https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic/dji-mini-2-dng-not-correct-supported-by-lr-classic-v10/td-p/11595491?page=1
This thread has been going on since April when LR CC was released. Please read; https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1827333 So Adobe released Lightroom CC 2015.1.1 and new Wacom driver 6.3.13w3. In hopes of a remedy I thrashed Lightroom .plist preference files (keeping a backup) under my user account and did a fresh install of Wacom driver keeping nothing from previous version. Did that do any change? ... NO! I'm getting seriously tired of this prolonged bug and it still affects; grabbing slider values and dragging (scrubbing ie. white balance), setting and dragging adjustment points on a RGB histogram, HSL picker tool and generally all sliders when scrubbing. As said before it needs a good push to activate any change, moving the pen fast and quite a bit of travel, then it jumps and moves alot. Thereafter it is somewhat smooth until you release the pen. Using mouse or tablet touch is as perfect as before, but I want to use the pen all the time. I belive that thelazydesigner is right about
Hi I updated LrC to version 10 without problems. But I immediately found an issue in the German user interface (see screenshot): In the Library Module the label of the button "Einpas." is cut off, in the Develop module it is not. Good day . I find bug in Lightroom CLASSIC CC in the print module latest VERSION for win 10(i didn't check it on mac yet) LOOK AT THE VIDEOhttps://youtu.be/WjeAjW-kEoothanks
My operating system is MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. With the new LRClassic update 10.0. When I change the WB from As Shot to Daylight in the Develop module with the Profile at Camera Standard (Nikon D500 and D850 user) whether I have made other changes to other sections of the basic panel or not and then copy and past to another photo or sync to other photos (same sequence and same camera WB settings) the WB label changes to Daylight in the photos copied to or synched but the sliders (and the setting) do not change. I then have to go to each individual photo copied to or synched to and change wb back to as shot and then to Daylight and then it works although then the preveviews in the thumbnails in the film strip below are erractically slow to resolve. This does not happen if I have just changed the Temp or Tint slider or both but only if I have clicked on the Daylight option. I have tried disabling all plug ins and no change, I have turned of the computer completely and turned it back on e
Hi,I'm using a dual display configuration (Windows 10 2004). When using the Grid mode on the main display, the Home/Ctrl+Home and End/Ctrl+End key have the expected effect (going to the first or last image in the Grid). When using the Grid mode on the secondary display, these keys have no effect. I didn't notice this before version 9.3 but I'm not sure.Is there any reason for this inconsistency ?
When I click "Check All" in the Copy function and then uncheck Color Grading, Color Grading is always copied anyway. If I click "Check None" and then individually check each box except for Color Grading it works as it should. I don't think this issue applies to any of the other settings, but I am not 100% certain.
I just installed LrC 10 and when I went to add images to a target collection, I get the following error: ?:0: attempt to compare two nil values. This is really holding me up organizing my photo book. Please help.
The Collections panel shows just one collection after restarting LR with the panel collapsed. To reproduce: 1. Select all All Photographs in a catalog with at least 1000 pics and a mix of at least 15 collections, smart collections, and collection sets. 2. Collapse the Collections panel. 3. Restart LR. 4. Expand the Collections panel and wait a second or two. 5. Collapse the panel, wait a second, expand the panel. 6. Observe that after a second or two, only the first item in the Collections panel is displayed. See this screen recording: https://www.dropbox.com/s/colwkzomf91eamd/collections-panel-bug.2020.10.20.mov?dl=0 A workaround is to change the panel from Sort By Name to Sort By Kind, or vice versa, and then collapse and expand the panel. Another workaround is to expand the panel and then restart LR. Tested on two instances of LR 10.0 on Mac OS 10.15.5. I can't reproduce this on Windows 10. &nbs
