P: Edit In External Editor does not work/function

I can not send images from LR4 to any external editor via Photo>Edit In. My system is Mac OS 10.7.3. Using the Edit In command fails to open the external editor and no error message results. This occurs whether the images have the 2012 Process Version applied or not. My external editors are primarily PSE10 and Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.0. This is an important part of my workflow.

I have reinstalled PSE10 and updated to the newest version of Silver Efex Pro.

John, I was merely commenting that you hadn't heard anything from Adobe in a month. The choice to use the software RC or not is yours. Some of us use it all-day every-day with no issues. You just don't hear too much from people who don't have issues.

And, yes, Adobe reads what Users are posting.

Release candidate still has issues.
Guess Adobe is not reading what users are posting,

Hey thanks for that forgot - one minor thing people may/will also need to do is to delete their lightroom preferences as the Nik presets that I set up in RC 2 wouldn't delete. Not a major drama but people need to watch this - I also ran registry clean after uninstalling the Nik software before reinstalling. So make a note of important prefs that are useful but not related to Nik stuff before going down this route...Now to look at the mac machine in my household.

Adobe gave me LR 4.1, and it solved the problem

Have you tried reinstalling your Nik software to make sure the presets from them are installed correctly?

Hi, I have loaded RC2, after uninstalling RC 1 to make sure of no-cross contamination. First the good news. Photomatix is back and my onone stuff is back. BUT I still have to go back in and set up presets for all of the Nik software. Machine is a WIN7, X64 which has CS 4.4 and also CS PS 6 Public beta loaded. Any thoughts on why this might still be happening?

Download RC2 here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/li...
Information here: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjourn...

Users who were having this issue report it is fixed.

You may choose to wait for the final release or use this release candidate (which could end up being the final release).

Going on a month since we have heard anything from Adobe.

Was hoping to upgrade from PS CS5 to PS CS6.
But after this experience.
No way am I going Adobe any more money on a new product.
Bought LR4 and it was like throwing money away.
Who knows what will be hiding in any new release.

Why is this still showing as resolved when it plainly isn't resolved?
Would Adobe please at least give us some idea when we can expect 4.1 to come out and fix all the problems and get us all out of this horrible situation. I can't use my Nik silver Efecs etc as it doesn't work with LR4 and I do not want to introduce other problems by using 4.1RC.
