P: Panels and filmstrip black when switching to Develop

Not sure if this is the right place for a bug report, if not could anyone direct me to the right place please.

Clicking develop module at top right from the Library module opens the photo with film strip and both side bars black empty spaces. Initial few times I had to quit and restart Lightroom but then discovered switching to grid view again and develop keyboard short cut, everything comes back.

Have you updated to LRCC2015.12?  LRCC2015.7 is several months out of date.

OS X El Capitan
Mac Pro Early 2008
cannot be updated to Sierra.

Have gone back to LR 2015.6 to solve the problem but hope Adobe will create a fix so I can go back up to newer version.

I have been running Lightroom CC 2015.10.1 on macOS Sierra Version 10.12.5 until this morning and regularly get this problem.  Just  before I received your message I finished the  updated to macOS Sierra 10.12.6.  I won't be able to see if this update impacts this problem for a few days.

For all of those still experiencing the problem, please reply to this post with the following information:

1. Your OS (Apple>About this Mac> Version>)
2. Your Lightroom version (Help>System Info...)

3.  If your LR version is CC2015.12 or 6.12 and your OS version is 10.11.x or 10.10.x also provide any reasons which prevent your upgrading to Sierra (10.12.x).

Thanks for providing this information.

LR for El Capitan still needs to be fixed! For the first time ever I am going to be teaching a problem solving workshop and will be handing out directions on how to re-install a previous version. Many people are using computers that prevent them from upgrading beyond El Capitan.

Could you please confirm the OS version where you see the issue? This is primarily an Apple issue and we have a RADAR bug logged. However we attempted a workaround in 2015.10/6.10 which has fixed issue for Sierra and reduced the frequency for El Capitan.

Thanks,

This is happening more and more frequently now. Getting ridiculous. Why it's taking adobe so long to fix such a constant problem I don't know.  The hide/show in the dock trick works for me, but having to do this every few minutes is screwed up.

Now I wonder why adobe
cant fix this cuz that might be interesting.
