P: Print Module, Page Set Up Crashes Lightroom Classic V 12.0.1

Good day. I ran across this issue yesterday, 6 Nov, and I'm not sure who (Adobe, Apple, Epson) is responsible for t/s and fix- it is frustrating. Simple to explain - fixing is another issure entirely.

I'm using a 16" 2019, Intel MacBook Pro w/32Gb Ram. I upgraded to MacOS Ventura and Lightroom Classic v12.0.1.  Going into Print Module and trying to select Page Set Up crashes Lightroom. I tried restarting the computer, resetting LR Preferences and turning off GPU Acceleration to no avail.

Do the LR Print Module, Page Set Up and Printer Settings, pull their input from the printer manufacturer drivers? Again, I'm not sure who is responsible or even how to go about troubleshooting/fixing. Any help/advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have two projects for customers in work - I should have known better than to upgrade this soon.

Just updated to Lightroom Classic 12.3 Release 6, and tried printing -Nope. Choosing an Adobe template and then opening Page Setup and then choosing a paper size and LR crashed. Sigh -

Rikk, does them mean there is nothing to be done about this until Apple updates the latest OS? Reminds me of frozen water and hell.

In the meantime, everyone should know that Epson Print Layout is working fine and does an excellent job of matching the colors from my BenQ (which is calibrated).

@DdeGannes Yes - I just checked in case I had missed an update but I am definitely on 12.1.

My set-up is Mac Studio M1 Max, running Ventura 13.1.   Haven't yet upgraded to Ventura 13.2 but I note there are others here who have and the LR crash issue has persisted regardless.

btw, my configuration (which works when switching to a built-in template from Lightroom):

MacOS Ventura 13.2, Mac Studio Apple M1 Ultra (64GB), Lightroom Classic 12.1, Epson SureColor P800 (Epson driver 12.62)

I've just tried the suggested template workaround for the third time, after reading of further successes here.

Unfortunately it makes no difference to me, LR still crashes every time.

My printing is now being done exclusively via Canon Professional Print & Layout software.

I hope a proper fix is found soon.

I have been having this problem (selecting Page Setup causes program abort) for the past month+, and after trying so many different things without success (installing removing print drivers, new OS patches, etc.), I had given up printing but thought I would give this thread one more try (I have a ton of printing needing to be done!).

SO, I just tried one of the suggestions listed here (select a Lightroom template such as "Maximize", then select Page Setup), and I am now able to print successfully! Yeah!

(I wasn't 100% sure of this, but I had been printing Holiday Cards when the problem started and was probably using a Red River Paper template for printing.)

Thanks to whomever found this workaround!

Dig Dog...it may be more complicated than that, but that is what Rick posted.

Rick Flohr; If I read your brief (and only response I could find) it is Apple's fault, not yours and wait for Apple to fix it?   So your warning to new Mac LRC users would be, "don't use our product if you have Mac OS Ventura.

Its far more complicated than that.

I'm on Ventura. Lightroom doesn't crash for me when printing to two Epson printers.
