P: (Android) Lightroom mobile 8.5 crashes on entering edit

Hello, I am using the recent 8.50 Lightroom update, and it is continually crashing on 2 different Android devices. Is anyone else having the same issue?

    The engineering team watching this thread have requested the following: 

    1.  Restart your device
    2.  Set a screen recording
    3.  Follow a workflow that results in a crash
    4.  Obtain and send diagnostic log
    5.  Post a copy of your screen recording in this thread.

     

    Android Log File

    Open Settings Panel, long press on the top left “Lr” icon. This will enable a “Send Feedback” button on the settings panel.


    Now perform the usual tasks in LrA for few minutes and then please reopen the Settings Panel and tap on “Send Feedback” from settings panel. This will open up your email client after few moments and attach the logs.

    Seems to keep freezing as soon as I access any photo from "all photos" accessing them from other albums (even other auto albums) works.

    Don't have the time for the video and logs at the moment though.

      Happens for larger albums too, but doesn't seem to for small ones.


      Seit dem Update auf die neueste Version 8.5.1 friert die App (Lightroom mobile) auf beiden Samsung Android Geräten (Tab und Phone) direkt nach dem Start der Bearbeitung eines Fotos in den Lightroom Alben "Alle Fotos" und "Unbearbeitet" ein. Später erscheint der Hinweis "App reagiert nicht" Eine Bearbeitung von Fotos in dieser Version ist somit unmöglich. Das Leeren des Caches und die Neuinstallation der App hat ebenfalls nichts verändert. Wie kann die App wieder nutzbar gemacht werden? Wie kann ich zur früheren funktionierenden Version zurückkehren?

        I removed the app from my Samsung S10, reinstalled, and it seems to be running ok. Perhaps the update to an existing install is buggy, but a complete new 8.50 installation is solid.  We'll see

        It seems to mainly crash in "all photos" for me, if I edit in other albums it works (mostly).

          Same here. It keeps freezing on my  Samsung galaxy tab s8 ultra and s22 ultra. It worked on both perfectly before the update. I do like the new interface though, especially with lens correction choice. Very handy for manual fisheye lenses.

          New interface is great, if it will stay working long enough to use it!🤓
