ANROID LIGHTOOM MOBILE: Can't Post Photos Exported from LR Mobile to Instagram

Has anyone else had issues posting exported photos from Lightroom Mobile (Android) to Instagram? I have a Samsung S24 Ultra and have not been able to share edited images to Instagram since I got my phone a month ago or so. My work around has been to post edited photos to Facebook which works, then save that file back to my phone from Facebook, then upload that to Instagram.

I get a "Photo can't be posted" error every time regardless if I'm on cell or Wi-Fi.

I just got my new Samsung S25 Ultra and now I can upload LR edits to Instagram! Now I can start using the LR app again...

Same issue exporting from lightroom the re-editing in snapseed. Still unable to upload to IG.

But if I upload pictures from my Canon R6 edited through lightroom mobile it works fine.

I have a temproray solutions if you still want to upload the edited photos from the Lightroom to Instagram.

Once the photo exported from Lightroom, pls use your mobile native photo app for minor editing, example cropping, or adjusting the perspective. Then Save a copy. With the copy that you've saved, you may upload it on Instagram.

Yes, this is what many others in this thread have done. However, this is a
workaround, not a solution.

I've been having this problem for months. I have no permanent solution. S24 Ultra.

Something I noticed though. You can upload your Lightroom photos in the IG app, so long as you upload more than one at a time. If it's just a single photo, you need to edit it slightly in the Gallery app (or order editing app) before posting it.

Issues recurring with the same old issues.

Device: Google Pixel 8 Pro

Android Firmware: Android 15

Adobe Lightroom: Lightroom Android V10.0.2

@Sameer K Please let me know you would like me to DM you the original photo, plus the edited.

I was able to get my photos edited and posted until just yesterday. I did have the HDR on to get passed it before now it stopped again. Very frustrating.

Hi Sameer, like others on this thread I have a new Google Pixel running Android 15. When I try to share an edited photo from LR mobile I get a 'photo can't be posted' error. When I try the same action on my older OnePlus running Android 14, I can upload the photo. Do you have any idea why I am having difficulty. I have re-installed instagram and LR vv10.0.2 is on both phones. It seems like there is a problem with Android 15. I don't want to downgrade back to 14 as this erases all my data/apps/configs etc in an attempt to get be able to do something similar to what I was able to do with another phone. So if you have a fix that doesn't involve the complicated option identified here can you post it?

Hello I have the same issue.

My last post from Lightroom was on the 30 August, since then I've been unable to post from Lightroom direct or by saving to my Pixel 8 first. It's the same if I use the phone camera or use the phone to make edits from my Fujifilm or Nikon cameras. I've tried coping, resizing and trying to make changes to how I've edited files, but no use still get the same message. I can load files straight from the phone camera or to my phone from cameras then to Instagram no problem. I've looked online and no luck with any suggestions I've found. Please help Adobe!

I have this problem too with my Samsung Galaxy S24. It's super frustrating and the only work around I have found is to uninstall and reinstall Instagram. It will allow me to post one time with no problem but any subsequent attempts will trigger the same issue. So, basically, I am uninstalling anf reinstalling IG multiple times a day and/or posting from my old iPhone that doesn't have this problem.

Does the workaround to make a slight edit in your native photo app and saving not work for Samsung? It sucks, but it's better than reinstalling Instagram every time you wanna post something.
