You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.

Ran into a similar issue today, i was editing about 100 shots yesterday and they were all done and exported. 

Once i opened the files/catalog again today in order to continue, most of the edits i made for several (50 or so) images are completely gone.. 

We should stop using this crappy software ?

Version 4.2 build 20210301-6cdd6a3 did indeed fix the above described issues for us.

Updates to Lightroom Classic and the Lightroom Ecosystem products for Desktop, Mobile and Web were released today and contain a fix for this issue.

I've been loosing my mind thinking it's on my end, but apparently it is a well known bug. 

What happens:

I edit a photo, go on the next one, few more, then I go back and the edits are completely lost! Sometimes I spend lots of time on an image only to find the edits got reset at some point. I must say I don't quit the app and don't even move to a new album, I stay in the current one and this issue happens quite a lot! Every time I edit photos actually. 

It is about time for this issue to be resolved.

Thankfully this hasn't caused much of a problem for me so far, but I'd like to know if this is a bug or potential user-error.

I haven't used lightroom cloud desktop before today, but I am very familiar with the desktop classic version of LR.

Problem: After I went online, I lost edits to the photos I added to library.

How it started: I was offline when I added photos to the LR library to a new album via usb from my camera. I made a couple of very basic edits to correct the images. My desktop monitor is garbage, so I've been double checking all of my edits on my iPhone as well. I noticed that new album photos weren't synced up and realized my desktop was offline. I went online, and a couple seconds after LR cloud reconnected to the server, all the thumbnails i could see in grid view reverted to their original pre-edit. I can't see a way to restore them, and

I haven't had this issue before, and I'm glad I didn't invest any substantial time into those edits - it was just a handful of photos. I've never had an issue like this in the classic version, so I don't know if there was a step I should have taken before going online to preserve the edits.

Have you tried switching to grid view before you move to the next image?

Hi, I have been having an issue with my edits being lost when I finish working on one image and move on to the next one. It doesn't happen every single time but most of the time. I have now made a habit of copying my settings every time before I move on and then going back to the image to check if the edits were lost. Then I paste them and try move on again. This doesn't work for brush and spot edits however, and it really is a pain to keep on doing this.

I should note this has nothing to do with closing Lightroom or force quitting - the edits are lost as soon as I move on to the next image.

I know others have complained of the same thing - do you have a solution yet? Please guys, this is kind of a deal breaker for subscribing to Lightroom...
