P: Desktop: "error while checking disk space"

can't import any photos.. after reviewing, I'm given this error message: "error while checking disk space"... afterwards, nothing.

    Hey Rikk... I am a photographer and trying to get photos to clients but when importing from SD card I'm getting the checking for free space on disk error message... I have a brand new MacBook and should have plenty of space.  What do I need to do?

    I am still having this issue as well. 

     

    MacOS 10.15.6

    Lightroom 3.4

     

    I keep hoping updates and re-installs will fix it, but it doesn't. It has been 4 months for me.

    Hi, I'm also having the same issue. Tried uninstall, reinstall and rebooted. Now after ver 3.4 update, still having the same issue! help... Thank you.

    Also having issues, it just freezes. have to force quit and restart lightroom

    This should be fixed in the next Lightroom Desktop release.

    Have you reviewed your system read/write permissions as described above?  This is a typical cause of receiving this message.
