Since the new update in Lightroom (8.31), when I export an image, items I've removed with generate remove do not apear in the exported image.

I have this same problem even without the recent update to 20250603-0500-10f89fb build. Even with a single file export to jpeg, half the time I will get see that the generative AI removal has not been applied in the preview window just prior to export.

Same issue here and its driving me insane. Edit an entire session only to export and all AI masks and remove tools aren't included. I tried moving to catelog to desktop (under another threads advice) no luck. Tried changing GPU (under this threads device) still no luck. Here's my settings. Hoping to get someone on the phone tomorrow since this is really slowing down my workflow at the moment.

Sad to say this issue has migrated over to lrmobile with the new update ai edits feature. Everytime I try to blur a photo something went wrong

How is this the same issue?

this explains my problem exactly too - and on some edits when I update as prompted it says it can't do it. So I have lost that work. This has happened to me since the last update. This is such a busy time for me I don't know what I am going to do.

I get the following error when exporting and so am unable to do so: Some images need AI settings to be updated before export. Please help!

Tried the GPU thing and it didn't work out. I regret updating the app, hopefully they'll fix this soon. Work is taking forever now for such a simple task. 😞

Hello - I am having this issue too on a new Mac book pro with plenty of memory. Even if I export just a few at a time. In addition I go back in and update as it requests on each image and a few minutes later it has dropped the heal edit that I have done. It just defaults to 'Some remove edits need updating' It is causing massive delays in my editing time and deliver to clients and I don't know what to do. I have updated lightroom and as I am using a brand new Mac book pro I don't think it is relate to that...

Hi @Lucie32442392tjgf! Thank you for reaching out! Sorry to hear about your issue.

Since this thread is a bit old, starting a new one with all the details of your issue might be best. That way, your comments won't get lost, and you'll get the help you need more quickly. Thanks a bunch!

Please share more details, like your system configuration. From Help> System Info> copy and paste it into a text file. Also, a screen recording or relevant screenshots of the export process would be helpful for me. You can share via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or another public file-sharing platform with your response.

Thanks a bunch!

Noel

Man you guys cannot be serious. Y'ALL ARE THE ONES WHO MERGED THEIR POST WITH THIS THREAD. And what the hell do you mean "a bit old"? This is literally the thread for a bug that is actively being discussed and investigated, and anyone who spent even 2 minutes reading this thread would see that what this user is reporting is EXACTLY what this thread is about.

Between this and all the other issues I've written about, this is all starting to feel like one big joke.
