P: LrD v9.4 the star rating is not working properly

Photographe de mariage, j’ai pour habitude d’effectuer mon tri directement sur lightroom via le système de notation par étoile. Or depuis 3 jours, celui-ci bug et est obsolète. Lorsque je met une étoile, celle-ci disparait instantanément et n’est pas sélectionnée. Parfois lorsque je met une étoile sur UNE photo, toutes les autres photos possèdent une étoile également mais ne sont pas sélectionnées malgré tout. Le seul moyen pour que ma notation soit pas obsolète, je suis obligé de faire clic-droit sur la photo, définir la note, une étoile. Sauf que cette manière me fait perdre un temps considérable !! Faire un clic-droit sur chaque photo que je souhaite noter sur un tri de +6000 photos c’est pas possible….

J’ai constaté ce bug depuis la dernière MAJ. J’ai quitté le logiciel +5 fois, j’ai redémarré mon PC mais SURTOUT j’ai désinstallé l’application et rien n’y fait.

I’m sorry for the trouble! We are able to reproduce this problem, and we plan to have a fix available in our next release. We’ll update this thread once the fix is available.

Whenever I star a photo that I have worked on several other photos are starred as well. If I remove the star from an unedited photo it will remove the star from edited photos. This goes on and on.

Hi @DevorahB, thanks for reaching out! I know this has been a real disruption. We will most likely have a fix for this bug for an upcoming release. Right-clicking to set the rating (or using 1–5 keyboard shortcuts) tends to be more reliable in the meantime. I'll update here as soon as it's out. ^CH

Any progress on this? It’s still happening to me. And now it won’t even sort by star rating properly.

this has to be fixed asap. talk about an extremely terrible bug, i can not star anything. I have gone through entire galleries, selected images only to find that like 1/6 of them actually stayed rated. rating an image from the gallery works, but not on individual images. this bug MUST BE FIXED asap

Still see this issue in 9.4.1 - I assign a star rating to something that’s not had one previously assigned, then everything else is the album is assigned the same rating (until I scroll to a photo that’s previously been given a rating).

Hi @Aspe, thank you for the update! Our team is working on a fix for this issue and will update here once it's resolved. In the meantime, you can try these workarounds until a fix has been released.

Right-click on the photo and manually set the star rating from the context menu
Use keyboard shortcuts to assign ratings (e.g., pressing 1–5 on the keyboard)

I think it is a bigger problem than what you’re suggesting a fix for.

for over a week now since the latest update, the star rating is not working.

for instance, when I assign 3 stars to a photo, the next photos also show 3 stars even though I haven't actually assigned any to them yet.

this is only happening with stars, not color labels or checkmark/X flags.

je ne peux plus mettre d'étoiles sur mes photos (quand je selectionne 5 étoiles les photos n’apparaissent plus) et je ne peux plus ouvrir mes photos lightroom vers photoshop.

I did find that if I star an image, un-star and image, then re-star the image, often if I do this once or twice it will actually save the rating. But this is very time consuming so I started moving them to separate folders. But now I need 3-4 folders for each gallery.

I am having the same problem. I cannot seem to find anything about this issue online, honestly I'm glad I'm not alone, it has been making me feel crazy.
