P: LrD v9.4 the star rating is not working properly

Photographe de mariage, j’ai pour habitude d’effectuer mon tri directement sur lightroom via le système de notation par étoile. Or depuis 3 jours, celui-ci bug et est obsolète. Lorsque je met une étoile, celle-ci disparait instantanément et n’est pas sélectionnée. Parfois lorsque je met une étoile sur UNE photo, toutes les autres photos possèdent une étoile également mais ne sont pas sélectionnées malgré tout. Le seul moyen pour que ma notation soit pas obsolète, je suis obligé de faire clic-droit sur la photo, définir la note, une étoile. Sauf que cette manière me fait perdre un temps considérable !! Faire un clic-droit sur chaque photo que je souhaite noter sur un tri de +6000 photos c’est pas possible….

J’ai constaté ce bug depuis la dernière MAJ. J’ai quitté le logiciel +5 fois, j’ai redémarré mon PC mais SURTOUT j’ai désinstallé l’application et rien n’y fait.

Does this happen when you’re in a a specific album, or in All Photos? Please check the sorting & filtering options active in the Album.

When I select one photo in an album and star it, LR starts all the photos in the album. This is making ir hard to sort the pictures.

I see your post was locked for double posting, last night when I was trying to make something in the community about the star and +masking issue. After struggling with Lightroom for about 2 hours, I go onto the community to post something and then the community had a bug too. It told me it had to many characters, exceeded 250 character limit (so I adjusted, resubmitted, and then it would say it again.) I finally got past that part, but then it never advanced to the next step. Nothing ever told me it was posted, then I found out it posted 3x.

I’m having the same problem this past week. When I assign one or more stars to a photo, the assigned number of stars carries over to each preceding photo. I have to “unstar” the one directly to the left of the one I wanted to star, and then “restar” the original one. It’s a real pain and eventually I stopped using it but it’s making Lightroom much more difficult to use now. Urgently looking for an alternative to cull photos unless Lr comes up with a fix fast!

That’s a good description and exactly what is happening to me. Seems to be a result of the update as I’ve never had this problem before. It’s really slowing me down in a very busy season! Last night I gave up and ended up manually adding my “keepers” to a separate folder - very tedious and time consuming for professionals working with large volumes!

This is happening to me and quite frustrating as I rely on star rating to cull. Lightroom “help” has not been helpful. Please let me know if you figure out a fix!

I agree, when you have hundreds of pictures to cull, this takes to much time.

While culling my images I use the star rating system. Lately while selecting my images I'm noticing that it's putting stars by several images I didn't select. Then when I do a search the ones select don't show up when I select the corresponding stars. This just started happening within the last few weeks. I have updated my computer and Lightroom Cloud to 9.4.1. Not sure what the issue is other how to correct it.

The star ratings in inconsistent. Photos that are rated are coming up as unrated and photos that have no ratings are showing 5 stars automatically.
