P: LrM 11.5 (Android) Snapping behavior in cropping adjustments after 11.5 update

After the Lightroom 11.5 update on Android 16 (Samsung S24 Ultra, OneUI 8.5), we can not any longer make minor adjustments when cropping and moving an image, as it jumps back and forth due to the guidelines "guiding" the photo. Before the guidelines were introduced yesterday, everything worked flawlessly. We really need to be able to make minor adjustments without these restrictions, just like we used to!

Hey All! Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Thanks for bringing this up and adding the video.

This workflow change is introduced alongside the Generative Expand capabilities. Currently, it cannot be reverted in-app. I notice the Vertical snapping is restrictive.

Your feedback is important, and it is heard. I'll pass this to the product team for review.

I'll try to leave my criticism in a constructive manner - Lord, help me. There's nothing about this “snap feature" that I find useful. Instead I am now left to “wrestle" with the app - many times getting it almost where I want it then it “snaps" again - back to square 1. Nobody wanted this. Remove it from the app and lets move forward.

This is a terrible update. I am going to crop in my phone before even going to LR. What were they thinking?

This is absolutely unacceptable. It went back to usable for about 24 hours then the problem returned. Does no one beta test these updates?

How can you make a change that prevents CROPPING? Not only does it lock in to the new red guidelines, often it prevents moving the frame vertically at all.

More and more open source by the day for me...

Idk why they added it and assumed photographers wouldnt want a way to shut it off. Also i cannot figure out how to add this to a requested feature the only option i can find is "ask a question".

To elaborate, while cropping an image on mobile lightroom, it will snap to the horizontal center and vertical center if you crop it close enough. This is extreamly frustrating to work around. It is extreamly rare that a raw is perfectly centered and super common that it is ever so slightly off center. I seriously have no clue what exec thought it would be a good idea to leave this feature untogglable for mobile. Decicions like this make me want to leave adobe entirely.

This is such an annoying feature. How come this is implemented and can't be turned off??? Makes mobile editing unusable at the moment.

Who wants pictures cropped and snapped to the exact middle? How can a photography app not consider things like the rule of thirds… I'm a bit speechless .

This guidelines so bothering me when cropping the image. It suddenly make adjustments to center which i don't want. Then when it goes to center, it can't to move. Please fix it immediately
