P: Missing Pictures, Presets, and Watermark Data after 5.4 Update

Adobe team, please implement a local backup function for pictures, the edits, album and folder structure plus presets. You see how easily a data loss can happen.

Opened the app today and was confused to see only one single photo from back in 2016. After some search arrived at this thread and updated to the 5.4.1 version but it did not help. Still no photos or presets from 4 years of editting.

New update didn’t work for me either. Very frustrated! I spent money on those presents and lost so many photos.

Christoph Willerscheidt can u explain the steps that u did?
Do u restored all your Ipad or did u restored onlyne the Lightroom (this is possible?)

It worked for me. I went to the App Store to make sure it was 5.4.1, downloaded it and then opened LR from there. It reloaded all the photos and the presets are also available. I have not yet touched the computer updates. I'll wait until the end of the day.

So the newly released 5.4.1 Update resolved my issue. After my story from above, i restored my iPad again and Lightroom was again 50GB in Preferences/Storage but this time i didn't launch the app. Instead, I waited and updated Lightroom to the newly released 5.4.1. Now launching the app presents me with all my photos again.
So if you previously launched or deleted the faulty version 5.4, you have a chance of restoring, it should work then.

Please, come back to 5.3.1 version. 
We need all the presets and photos back.
