P: Photos edited on iPad reverting when opening Desktop

I'm so devastated.

I finally finished all of my edits from a photoshoot, all 7,613 photos, on my ipad and went to open the desktop version to send them off to Smugmug, just to watch as slowly, thousands of edits were reverted. The amount of time it's going to take for me to go back through each of these photos and undo this bizarre bug is just heartbreaking.

The worst part? This isn't the first time this has happened on this same batch of photos. Something has to be done about this. I made sure my iPad was fully synced before opening the desktop, and it still appears to be a consistent issue.

Everything is much faster to edit from my iPad, as the desktop app takes far too long to load each photo when going one by one.

Greetings all,

A new update for Adobe Photography Products has been released.  The April updates contain an update for this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

Hey there,

I wanted to update that I've had this issue re-occur when moving from my iPad to my phone, thankfully not to the scale that happened previously, but only because the Lightroom ecosystem as a whole has been running incredibly slow regardless of platform. I've detailed some of that issue here, but it has not been addressed even with remote login via tech support: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/lightroom-desktop-freezing-flashing-when-in-detail-view-moving-photos-or-attempting-to-edit/m-p/15276044#M102185

I've pulled your LrWeb Zipped Files issue to a new thread as it is likely unrelated to this thread:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/download-from-web-zip-files-are-corrupt/td-p/15184777

Regarding this thread, your unique workflow has necessitated a fix for Lightroom Desktop that will not be released until the next version. The issue does not affect very many people at this time. Until the fix is released, you might want to consider using the Desktop version sparingly.

At this time, I'm still unable to export the completed images. I tried with the iPad, and it took hours before they had been rendered and ready, but ultimately, only one ended up uploading. On the web version, zip files are corrupt when downloading, and when trying to share to google photos (the only other option), I keep getting a failure 10% into the export.

I'm still hesitant to open the desktop program for fear of all my work getting undone again.

I swapped to my tablet since I couldnt export via the web or desktop version, and a random assortment of the photos have been reset. Yet again, I have to go through and fix who knows how many of them. 😩

Thanks. I have forwarded the link to the Dev. Please leave it available for a couple of days.

I have also sent you a direct message - please check it.

After briefly shutting down and restarting my computer, I've come to the conclusion that the desktop version is unusable. I was finally around 5000/7600 photos restored, and as soon as I opened the desktop program back up, it went right back to reverting several hundred of the photos.

Until there is a resolution, I'll only be using the ipad and web versions and might have to look into an alternative all together. I cannot afford to have any further setbacks in my work flow, and as is this has cost me a week's worth of valuable time and in turn lost income.

I do have it set that anyone with the link can edit, I'm not sure why you're being denied. If it weren't 4 GB, I'd email it. When I'm back home, I'll try transferring it over to Google drive instead.

I am unable to retrieve the file from this link. Have you modified the permissions on this share?
