Hi

since last update (10.5) , when I edit a picture ( raw or jpeg) on my iPad Pro , and rotate my screen work on 16:9, the screen freezes immediately after screen rotation ,  during few minutes. Impossible to do anything , even to shut down the iPad. The apps stay open and frozen . After few minutes, iPad restart.

I reproduced this bug several times with same scenario

no issue on my iPhone with the same picture

very strange

I have the same issue on Lightroom mobile with an iPad Pro. It's a hard crash with the screen going purple in the end. No other app has ever crashed the iPad this much. It's fully, 100% reproducible for me. Did anyone find a fix?

@nikom47757858 and others, please try out our latest 10.5.1 version for the iPad

Thanks,
Ignacio

Hello @malcolm_5965 . @micheloupatrick  et All

Thanks for taking time to report this issue.  Developers finally believe that a fix was found and can be released soon.  The team will work to make this happen as soon as possible, and will follow up here when an update is released.

I already tried uninstalling / reinstalling the app but it didn't help.

It's very annoying.

Mine too which happened after the last upgrade. Anyone found a fix for it ? Also if I dump Lightroom off my iPad then relaunch it will that cause an even bigger headache? Never had to contact Adobe before and it looks a problem if you don't live in the USA

@Ignacio B

Regarding my iPad model, here is what Adobe says :

Lightroom for iOS supports any iPhone or iPad that runs iOS 17.0 or later.

It only happens in development mode, on edited or unedited images, without using any tool. It doesn't happen in grid view (Lightroom tab).

The images are smart previews coming from LR classic.

I never use the device tab.

And yes I checked it's the 1st (2018) generation iPad Pro 11" : everything worked fine until the latest version of LR for iPad.
