P: Generative Fill Button greyed out (age)

After selection is active, I cannot use the generative fill button. It's visible, but greyed out...

I already switched from german language to english without success.. Please advice. Thanks !

I have installed the latest beta version of Photoshop and when I opened it it mentioned Generative Fill but that option is missing from the context box when I make a selection, and it is not under Edit. When I look at the beta features it mentions other things like context aware multi image fill. Why is Generative Fill missing? When I first opened the beta it gave me a pop up to do with generateive fill even - but I don't seem to see anyone having a similar issue?

I have version 24.6 installed which says it is the latest version. I'm on Windows.

For me and all other users this version of photoshop CC Beta does not work.

Guys n Gals,

So I just 45 mins ago downloaded the beta for the first time (You would think this means its the most up to date) BUT I also did not even get anything that said generative fill.

I read this whole thread and then did this and now its working fine.

Opened my Adobe CC Desktop app

Clicked the menu in the upper left

Clicked Help > Check for updates

Sure enough it showed an update for Photoshop Beta

Everything works fine now. The AI is not so great at making UFOs but it made me a decent flamingo haha

Side note. Photoshop Beta runs WAYYYY faster than the normal most up to date photoshop.

For some reason, Photoshop is barely usable on my brand new rig but Beta runs super fast

I have the same problem. I have read and tried everything here. The version is the right one, deleted all settings with Alt + Ctrl + Shift before starting.
I am based in Germany, am over 18 and have an individual licence. I hope it will work soon. Thank you in advance!

Did this. Got the delete settings prompt, said yes. No change.

Having the exact same problem. Grayed out, no generative features work, and no pop-up info appears. I'm middle-aged in the U.S. with a corporate account.
