P: Photoshop Beta Generative Fill produces different colors at the edges of the selection.

When trying to add additional areas to the edges of an image using Generative Fill, it creates mismatched colors at the junction of the new and existing parts. It deviates slightly from the original areas, resulting in a grid-like pattern in those areas where new parts were created using the Generative Fill option, even if I fill them with 1024x1024 pixel sections.

I have already uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but the issue persists. I am using an iMac Pro running Ventura 13.3.1 system.

This instance we are all refering to is directly from utilizing generative fill to extend a background. I wouldnt call this an artifact. Please lookat all the many pages of examples. It is a noticeable seam where the background extend starts. The colors of the AI generated background do not match the original image. This does not happen with content aware only generative fill/ expand!

We did get some similar sounding artifacts, however it did not involve gen fill and required 16-bit, and happens as far back as v23; trying to ascertain if this might be the same issue; I'm leaning toward a separate inquiry for gen fill.

@Mark.Dahm I have tried different "open in photoshop" - settings 16 bit, 8 bit, nothing seem to help. Question to you: Do you have same result at office in your test environment?

I have idea about everybody else but for my case its a 16bit tiff prophoto file exported from Lightroom to PS. Im sure if you or somebody else reviews the many pages of issues it'll show a better understanding of whats going on.

@Brandon5C4D , is everybody here also working in 16-bit? That was reported in Accra's case, but not clear for others.

All of us here are using generative AI. This is a known issue that was brought up in the summer. Beta and full release this was never fixed. It makes the feature useless.

@Accra5C82 ,

Still a big issue. Makes the entire feature useless...

@CShubert  can you provide an update with us? I submitted my issue months ago. Many iterations of the beta and now a final full release this is still an issue. The feature  is pointless if we can't use it.
