Camera Raw Filter and more not working randomly

I've been having the same issue for weeks now where I can't open/use most filters and they just give me an error.

Camera Raw Filter = Could not complete the Camera Raw Filter command because of a program error.
Lense Correction = nothing, just doesn't work.
Liquify = Could not complete the Liquify command because of a disk error.
Vanishing Point = nothing, just doesn't work.

I've tried many troubleshooting steps and many different versions of Photoshop, nothing works long term. If I uninstall/install photoshop it works for a single time. But after I save and exit, whenever I load back it won't work again. And I am forced to reinstall photoshop all over again.

I am on Windows 11 with a 4080 super and 19-14900 with 64gb ram. My specs are not the issue, so I am super lost on what to do.

...and today it has worked perfectly for a whole workday. Not a hitch. I've been opening the ACR filter regularly just to test.

This is 25.12 on the Windows 10 machine.

Talk about elusive bug... <scratches head>.

@davescm  Yes, I' think I'll try that. Will report back when I get to it.

I strongly suspect that this is somehow GPU related, since all the functions still work in actions, it's just the interface that won't come up.

@D Fosse One thing I notice in your system info, compared to mine in which I have no issues, is that you are using a newer GPU driver. Here I am using NVidia Studio driver 546.33 for my RTX3090 which is listed in Photoshop's system info as 31.0.15.4633. It may be worth trying a driver rollback (if you do, use advanced options > clean install).

Yes, uninstalling was the only way to get it to work. Closing and relaunching the application resulted in the same errors. I tried other versions but am just now trying 25.9 and so far it's working. But I will have to see if it still works tomorrow when I try to open it again.

Are you sure you really need to reinstall? Here it's enough to close and relaunch.

And in any case, version 25.9 works properly. Uninstall, then when reinstalling, click the three dots and "other versions". Find 25.9.1 and install that.

Resetting preferences does nothing here. I must have done it 5 or 6 times by now.

I am not 100% sure on how to reset preferences. I tried to go to Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw but I still get the same error as listed above. The only solution still remains to be to uninstall and reinstall every time I want to use the filter. And it's an issue on my other PC aswell so it's really got me baffled that I don't see more people with this issue.

Well, as with all bugs, it only hits some of the people some of the time.

Again, it works initially after launch, the failure happens after working for a while, like 10 to 20 minutes. Then relaunch, and it works again. And again, only 25.11 and 25.12 show this. Running 25.9.1 there's no problem.

I'm trying to figure out what my two machines have in common that might be out of the ordinary. I can't really think of anything, both are very stripped down systems with basically just CC, Microsoft Office, Firefox and Eizo Colornavigator installed. That's about it. Also a basic Windows install directly from Microsoft.

This is a first for me. Never had any significant problems before.

I'm not experiencing any of the issues described above, all the filters work as expected with Photoshop version 25.12 on Windows 11, GPU is an RTX 3090, driver is 561.09 studio version

I've moved the thread to bugs.

I've not had any issues with the camera raw filter or Save for Web. The latter being a legacy filter does not get updated so there should be no code change in it.

I'm not in the office at present but when I get back I'll check which NVidia driver I am using. I presume you have already tried a preference reset.
