When using a type/text area in PS my keyboard arrow key's sometimes just stop working. There's just no more feedback and I have to restart PS to 'fix' the problem. This is a very annoying bug which really degrades my productivity!

Please help!

PS Did anyone else experience that this web site was horrid to login to post this comment. I logged in with my previously registered ID, nothing happened, I had to refresh the page, repost (copy paste as I thankfully copied the text) tried with FaceBook login, which just sat there, and finally on a third attempt, was told a verification code would be sent to me... which took 10 minutes to arrive! I used that and even that refreshed the page to erase the text I had written. Had I not copied it already I would have had to type in the text again, which would be a pain if it was significantly longer.

Count me among the people who also have this frustrating, annoying and bizarre bug. Quite often, creating a text box, typing some text in it, and then trying to use the Left Arrow to go backwards to correct something shows nothing happening. Select All and clicking Left Arrow to jump to the start of the text also does not work.

Hi Hawken and Andrew,

We're quite happy to fix the bug if we can get solid steps to reproduce it. Unfortunately, each time I've worked with users on similar issues, it's been either unreproducible or user error or a device (such as Wacom Intuos5) or a companion app (Wacom sidecar app) or a font (Helvetica Neue) or another application stealing focus. If you have a clear case, we'd be HAPPY to help get to the bottom of the problem. We can share your screen via an Internet-hosted connect session and solve the problem or at least get a good idea as to the cause.

Meanwhile, useful information includes:
* what were you doing -- precise steps are REALLY helpful, such as:
1) launch PS
2) monkey around with blur filters
3) create many layers of type
4) switch between apps
etc
* what other applications you have running at the same time and if you've switched between them (I can't say enough that there is a setting for some tablets that EATS keystrokes -- see many other, similar threads). Please note multiple users with the problem have posted that closing Safari and/or Chrome fixes the problem...
* what other devices you have running on your system, such as points, tablets, unusual keyboard layouts, etc.

Just like a doctor or car mechanic, we need detailed data to figure out what's wrong. We hear you're frustrated, but without a detailed list of symptoms and things you've been doing (or running) we can't really narrow down the cause.

Thanks,
David

Please note the URL of the link; this is not an Adobe bug...

Changing fonts around in Lion just to make CS6 work properly isn't really a professional solution, as this may affect other programs.

Will this bug ever be fixed? It's slowing down my work flow as a UI designer incredibly, I'm expected to type stuff into Photoshop daily. Please don't make this an OSX problem, it's a CS6 problem. I can't use arrow keys or delete keys.

No conflict, and I've removed the custom version.
