P: Auto scrolling on layers panel when a layer is copied, deleted or added to a folder

Photoshops 2015 layers panel is constantly doing things I wouldn't expect and making me think more that needed. When I drag a layer to the new icon it copies the new layer to the top of my file structure. Now I need to grab it scroll back down and re-find the context I was in. This seems un necessary and I would expect the new layer to appear under the original one.

Every time an action is applied to a layer photoshop auto scrolls the layers panel so that my selected layer is at the very top. This is very distracting and chokes the context in favour of identifying the layer. Every time I do an action on a layer (add to folder, delete...) my very next action is to scroll the layers panel back to where it was. I would expect to have the scroll location stay the same so I can retain the same folder context.

I thought I had a bug in my program!

Please fix this asap.

It is not helpful at all and adds an extra step to my workflow.

Hi Chris, I think the sentiment of Jason's post is that there is a lack of specific response on the actual issue. Surely you know his meaning.

Is this is bug that will eventually be fixed?
Is this a misguided attempt at a useful feature?

We don't know as no-one is answering these questions. Which is frustrating.

You mentioned to me in a post last week that you'll find out the situation when you are back in the office. Can you or anyone at Adobe be specific for us on this please?

"the lack of replies from adobe"... when you just replied to an Adobe engineer.

We're fixing everything we can, but it doesn't happen overnight.

Just keep talking about Sketch and how their layers panel scroll bar works like any other normal scroll bar. Due to the lack of replies from adobe I don't think they are going to fix it any time soon.

Im switching to sketch when my next project starts!

Does anyone know what we users could or should be doing to get a response from Adobe to help make this change happen? I'm new to the message board and unsure of protocal. If there's anything that I can do from my end to encourage a response from Adobe I'd be happy to do it. Recommendations and suggestions welcome....

(In my desperation I installed Sketch yesterday).

I'm not in the office right now, and don't know the status of this issue.
