P: Can't cmd+tab to web browser (Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75) from CS6 (OSX/10.6.8)

When cmd+tabbing between Photoshop CS6 and Google Chrome, Photoshop document windows remain visual on top (but inactive). The web browser window is called up over other applications, but remains behind Photoshop. The problem seems to only happen when switching to Chrome.

Photoshop ver 13.0.1
Mac OSX ver. 10.6.8
Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75

Hi Sean, that's almost my favorite workaround. There's this short-cut where you can switch seperate chrome windows: CMD + < (german), CMD + ` (english)
Works in the same way and you don't need to open a new window. Just press it, after you've CMD tabbed to chrome

Messing around today I found that cmd tabbing from PS to chrome then opening a new window, printing or toggling between active chrome windows brings the app to the foreground.

For example, if I cmd tab from PS the chrome window flashes but I still see the PS window. The menubar still reads Chrome though. If I command N for a new page, Chrome becomes active.

This is the with PS 16.1.2, Chrome 49.0.2623.112 and OSX 10.11.4

Thanks. But why dont they post this information in this thread? It could be so simple. Is it a secret or is no one from adobe reading these posts anymore?

I called Adobe.  They said "it is a known bug and we are working on it" but they couldn't say anything about when it would be fixed, if it would be fixed in the next version, when the next version is coming out, or how long they have been working on it....
