P: Can't cmd+tab to web browser (Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75) from CS6 (OSX/10.6.8)

When cmd+tabbing between Photoshop CS6 and Google Chrome, Photoshop document windows remain visual on top (but inactive). The web browser window is called up over other applications, but remains behind Photoshop. The problem seems to only happen when switching to Chrome.

Photoshop ver 13.0.1
Mac OSX ver. 10.6.8
Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75

I'm going to cancel my CC membership and use pirated versions of the older Photoshop CS6 that doesn't have this bug if this isn't fixed soon.

Its happening all day long, and not only with chrome. With Powerpoint 14.6.3 its the same problem like with chrome. How long could a fix like this take?

Pretty lame costumer support. No one is helping, talking. When asked via Facebook, they say, yes they are working on it. But it depends on the others (Google, Apple, when it is finished). I dont get it.

What's frustrating is Adobe, in this thread, vehemently defended Photoshop, first blaming on Wacom/OS then squarely centering the blame on Chrome.  When it became apparent that this was in fact a PS issue, radio scilence.

Nope, I'm afraid it has nothing to do with quantity of layers. Happens all the time, on a canvas of any depth.

I realized this was getting prohibitively hard to describe to the world at large (by which I just mean "Adobe Technical Support"), so I've taken the liberty of demonstrating it in a video:

I can confirm that this issue does have to do with layers.

I open up PS CC, create a new document, and try to cmd+tab to Chrome and it works.
I create 1 additional layer and try to cmd+tab to Chrome and it is impossible.

Only takes 1 additional layer for me to experience this problem.

True, i've just tried and in my case it's not exactly 3 but more like 6-7 layers. After that it's impossible to cmd+tab to Chrome. I tend to think it might be something to do with the bespoke (non OSX native) window-manager Adobe uses for PS ...

I played around with this a little more today to see if I can find out what triggers the problem and it seems to be related to the number of layers in the photoshop document.

If I open photoshop and create a new blank document, I can cmd-tab between PS and Chrome without an issue. But the problem starts after I have about 3 layers. At that point, about every second attempt to cmd-tab fails. Adding additional layers makes the problem worse. Once there are about 20 layers, cmd-tab always fails and the document is forced to the foreground every time when trying to switch to Chrome.

Illustrator and XD don't have this problem, so it seems obvious to me that this is a Photoshop bug.
