P: Can't cmd+tab to web browser (Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75) from CS6 (OSX/10.6.8)

When cmd+tabbing between Photoshop CS6 and Google Chrome, Photoshop document windows remain visual on top (but inactive). The web browser window is called up over other applications, but remains behind Photoshop. The problem seems to only happen when switching to Chrome.

Photoshop ver 13.0.1
Mac OSX ver. 10.6.8
Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75

So having been aggravated by this for 2+ years now, and getting increasingly nervous about the Chromium-45-instead-of-Chrome workaround (to say nothing of how it makes my Mac's fans spin like a jet turbine), I just tried calling Adobe at their support line (800-833-6687). As will be surprising to nobody here, the Adobe support person I got ("Robert") insisted that he couldn't replicate it on his machine. I directed him to this thread, explained that dozens of us do experience it, to a prohibitive (and expensive) degree, and it got me nowhere. He did say that he'd file a ticket to his "seniors," so god only knows whether we'll see any action or acknowledgment on this. For my part, I might just bite the bullet and start learning Sketch.

It is driving me crazy everyday.
And I can't even find a proper workaround as Full screen doesn't work properly with two displays, I am forced to use Application Frame mode...

Hello Adobe,

will there ever be a solution or at least communication?

This is a really annoying problem!

I'm on a Mac OSX 10.11.4 (15E65) with Photoshop CC 20160113.r.355x64 and Chrome 50.0.2661.75 (64-bit)

This is driving me nuts too. I want to compare Photoshop layout with Chrome output but I find I have to tab to a 3rd app in between which reduces my ability to accurately compare. Really frustrating.

I just discovered that this issue exists even when switching from Photoshop to Lightroom. Both apps are up-to-date CC apps running on OS X 10.11.4.

This is an incredibly annoying issue that needs to be addressed.  Working on a website, tabbing between PS, Chrome, text editor....this issue just ruins the workflow and causes frustration.  Doesn't matter if its a dual monitor setup or a single monitor setup.

Only workaround I found is to push cmd + ` after pressing cmd + tab, which is also annoying 😕😕
