P: Convert to Video Timeline option missing - Apple M1 devices

I am not able to select anything but "Create Frame Animation" in the Timeline. I am trying to create a Video Timeline, but not using Frame animation. This option isn't in the bottom left or top right of the Timeline menu.

I have tried resetting my preferences, uninstalling and re-installing, creating a new document, and converting all layers to smart objects, and none of those have worked. I have a macbook pro with macOS Big Sur version 11.2.3 with an Apple M1 chip.

Thank you for the help!

Gracias!

Still not fixed?? It has been a year.

Reverting to old software is a horrible UX and not a solution.

Video functions are not avialable on M1-based Macs yet due to underlying issues with adapting the code to the new platform.

  • Mon ancienne configuration : Mac OS BIG SUR version 11.6
  • Ma nouvelle configuration : Mac OS BIG SUR version 11.6
  • Version Photoshop : version 22.5.1

I've given up and ordered a new imac 27 inch which still has an IBM chip, my new (in April) macbook hasn't been used as I had to move back to my old 2015 Imac. Adobe should have made much more clear that Photoshop was not working fully on the new chip, people make important financial decisions based on software compatibility. Six months later it's still not made clear which important modules are missing.

Hi everyone!
I am having big troubles importing videos on my photoshop
I have this project that requires me to make some rotoscopia on a video (drawing on a video frame by frame)
and photoshop is the perfect tool to do that.
However everytime i try to import a video on photoshop it says that its "impossible to do this operation because photoshop do not recognize this kind of file"...
The thing is that i have been checking out ont the adobe site and its written that photoshop is suposed to be able to open mp4 formats witch is the format of my video (i have also tryed with mov but its the same).
I have uninstalled and installed photoshop, i have looked on youtube and blogs for someone having the same problem and solving it but i can't find anything.
Do you have any clue of what is going on? Is there any option on my computer that i should activate in order to make this work (i'm working on the latest macbook pro)   ?
Thank you !

Are you using an M1 mac? If so you will need to run under Rosetta for video functions.

Solo pudo hacer cuadro a cuadro.

Alguna solución posible?
