P: Crash on using Select Subject or Object Selection Tool on Windows

My computer was just upgraded a few months ago, and is still under warranty. So tomorrow I am taking back to the computer place and have them go through this machine and see if there are any issues that I am not aware of. Since the issue is repeatable, that makes it easier to spot where the issue might be. When I get some answers I will report. 

You don't have to uninstall. You can have both installed concurrently.

I will try 22.5.3, question do I unistall version 23 first and then install 22.5.3?

@kowbok What problem are you "still experiencing"? The OP was seeing a crash of Photoshop which was fixed in the current release of Photoshop. Other people are reporting whole system freezes/crashes on Windows caused by a low level hardware or driver problem.

Try version 22 (for me22.01 worked). Unless you need some new feature in 23.  I tried  all versions of 23 with no go. 

I have version 23.0.2 and I am still experiencing  problems

This is exactly the same situation for me also.  Will have to wait for future more stable versions it seems

I downloaded the latest Nvidia driver and made sure game over lay was turned off. Then I downloaded the latest PS update. I opened an image, clicked on the object tool and the computer instantly went into reboot mode. 

I have the PS version 22. 5.3. The object selection works.

I am done messing with version 23. I will wait for a later version and hope that someone can figure out what is wrong with the coding.
