P: Create new window not reflecting right dimensions from clipboard

It depends on the platform, Mac and Win have different places for Preferences.

I'm sure that the development team are fixing this. Until then you have two workarounds, totally disable the "new" new doc interface by enabling the "legacy" prefs option, or use a script to create new from the clipboard while retaining the new interface for everything else.

Thanks for the simple workaround! That worked for me. Takes me out of my normal keyboard workflow,  but good enough for now...

thank you! it works now. It's been bugging me for a while

Today is 26 June 2022 and I noticed this problem yesterday.  I did switch to the legacy version it works as a workaround this evening, and it works.  But this afternoon it really slowed down my productivity today.   I hope this get fixed fast and correctly.
