P: Create new window not reflecting right dimensions from clipboard

Hello, I am having an issue with photoshop where File > New > is not auto-inputting the clipboard size into the canvas size for the new document. This has worked on every version of photoshop until this point. I sadly ended up on version 23.3.2 (photoshop just updated itself in the last couple days I guess without me noticing, and I am pretty sure I had that auto update turned off since I reverted back to 22.2 a couple weeks ago, sigh)

Have you guys considered testing your product before launching updates? I reverted back to 22.2 because of all the bugs I was experiencing with the latest versions. Seems turning auto update off cant even save me.

Sorry I think I misspoke. Someone in a previous post said to update Photoshop and CC and go to Photoshop>Help>System Info. This is where I got that info from: https://paste.pics/c31312c71b563ab1916926479898de1f

OK I updated it to v 6.0.0.31. We'll see how that works. Thanks

You're welcome, Matt.

6.0.0.31 doesn't sound like a version of Photoshop. Can you confirm that?

Also, staff has moved your thread into the primary thread I linked to earlier. They will see your replies now.

I have noticed for quite some time now that when you copy a picture from the internet by right clicking>copy and then go to Photoshop>File>New>Doc Type=Clipboard that the doc size doesn't mirror the picture I copied on first attempt to create that new doc. Instead, I have to cancel the first attempt and then repeat the File>new process, at which point on the second attempt it DOES replicate the image size into the doc size... but only on the second attempt. This used to be flawless but has been "broken" for about a year. Is there any way to fix this?

Also worth noting, even when the copied picture dimensions are replicated in the File>new process, the most recently copied image doesn't always paste in. Instead, it'll be the image copied before that one.

I will verify that with the latest update, this seems to be resolved for me.
Please know that I sincerely appreciate the fix as this is something I use a lot in my work.

In hindsight I feel Adobe took a LONG time to address this.
Just saying.

Perhaps. But if you're so unhappy with ACC and other Adobe products, there was is a solution provided.  😉

that's likely a byproduct of the absolute travesty of an application "adobe creative cloud" is. some of the worst software I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with -- and don't even get me started on corporate deployments.

This should help you out then:
