My cursor keeps disappearing with CS4 and CS5. This started after I installed Mountain Lion. I have noticed this on 2 different iMacs, one at home and one at work.

When I called Apple with this problem, they told me that I had to upgrade to CS6 from CS5.5, because it wasn't compatible with Mountain Lion.

Which I did. I upgraded to CS6, only to discover that the problem is not as bad, but has not gone away. I'm still fiddling with my cursor instead of getting on with my work.

Professionals who pay for expensive programs must be able to work uninterrupted by issues like this, which are clearly affecting a large sector of the Photoshop community.

How long must we all sit and wait until either Adobe or Apple finds a solution?

Or, should we sit and wait?

I have decided to collect a list of signatures and email addresses of everyone who is experiencing this problem, and I will send it as a petition to both Adobe and Apple. Please send me your details to liora@dynamicbrushes.com.

This issue exists in PS CS6 too, I use both CS5.5 as well as 6.0. Upgrading towards 6.0 does not solve anything when you are affected.

I find it very frustrating this does not get acknowledged as an issue. Sure you can point fingers to another party but still we are affected as PS users. The result is that we do not get the user experience we have paid for and what we might expect.

Telling us to take it up with Apple whereas the problem is apparent in Adobe software I find incorrect. I would like Adobe to tell ME they are taking it up with Apple and assure me the go to great lengths to get this fixed so that their software works properly.

I am now losing valuable time every day over this. This is simply unacceptable.

Stop sending us from pillar to post and start to get this solved..

Im totally sick of adobe and apple over this, epson scanner software doesn't work anymore and so was forced to buy new software for $89 or buy a new scanner! So damn wasteful!my wide format epson printer software no ,longer works either . . . The apple drivers are not a good option as tthey dont have the same media profiles!

There is no way i will buy anymore apple or adobe products ever again!going back to Corel and windows looks even more tempting.

I don’t see Adobe making much noise about it either, probably suits them to push people over to CS6, where strangely Im not getting that problem in photoshop, only on CS5.5! You have to wonder at the strategy behind this...

NO! I called Apple and of course was told that I should update Photoshop. I told the man on the phone that this problem only began since I switched to Mountain Lion, and that in all the years I have been using Apple products, this sort of thing has never happened to me. He kept saying it had to do with Adobe. I asked him if he promised me to take this up with his senior manager and to make sure that he knew that I'm not the only one complaining... that there is a whole community of people out there who are suffering from disappearing cursors in Photshop now that they are using Mountain Lion.

It is really excruciating to work in this way. I hope that there is a fix soon, but I am very pessimistic about it.

hi Kay, call apple for free on 0800 048 0408, even though getting through is a pain get the operator to take note of our issues. You'll probably be told it's an Adobe problem but at least they will eventually realise that a lot of creative professionals are really pi55ed off.
