P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

That is a separate issue from this topic, and there are already several topics about the bugs in MacOS Yosemite.

I am nearly certain this has something to do with the Wacom tablet, as when i just use a normal mouse it works fine, no lag . ( although photoshop dose not have to adapt to pressure sensitivity etc so it would be faster)

But switching tools works fine with a mouse and saving quickly works,

The minute I plugged in my wacom tablet, the undo bottom lagged and then switching tools lagged. Even using keyboard shortcuts lagged

Having the same problem , switching between tools lags. Brush to Eraser/lasso etc in CS6

I have tried deleting preferences
Reinstallling photoshop
boosting the performance

I have tested this on a very small file and it still lags

I have a 2010 macbook with 8gb of ram so hardware is not an issue. Even when I switch between apps, safari back to photoshop it is lagging to activate as the active app. I have to click a few times for photoshop to register it as selected.

From readin the above comments it seems that this is a serious and very frustrating issue.

Running Yosemite for a few days now

I'm having this same problem, and I do not use a tablet. Just the Macbook Pro and it's normal old touch pad.

You are using a beta OS that has many bugs in it - so problems you find on the MacOS beta should be reported to Apple for investigation.

Same problem. Really frustrating. It seems like the shortcuts will work if I start with Select being clicked in the tool pallet. If I'm on eraser or most other tools, no shortcuts will work.

I am still having this problem.
Using Yosemite and latest adobe photoshop cc (trial mode). No matter which tool I use, the first click has no effect. When I click for the second time, I see the result of the first click. When I click a third time, I see the result of the second click and so on.

The plugin does not work for me either
