P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

That's not related to this topic. Please post another topic, and include the crash log so we can see what is actually crashing. Also include other critical information like the exact version of Photoshop and the OS.

Please please help, my PS is crashing when I use keyboard shortcuts like zoom or sometimes the brush shortcut on wacom. I can't work like this, I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything 10 times!!. I'm using an i-mac, ps6, wacom intuos 3, OS 10.8, wireless mouse but wired keyboard.

Please help, I'm very unhappy with Adobe.

I am having the same problems, not sure what is the cause. I'm using ps6 on imac - os 10.8 I just reinstalled the entire system software and PS is still crashing!! Always when I use key shortcuts like zoom or wacom. Is there a plugin for 10.8?

First, make sure you have the 2014.1 update installed.
Beyond that, check for third party plugins causing delays, possibly Generator, or external apps/utilities.

Im Using Wacom + CC 2014 + latest MBPro... and when Im trying to just Alt+Move (Copy) object it works so slow. A lot of things works with like 0,5 secs delay. Even tho my doc size is only 6MB.

It was so much faster with Win7+PC+CS4...

Photoshop CC 2014 works around the issues that we know of on MacOS.

I am having the same problem. I am using a Wacom tablet and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers with no luck. I tried a plugin that didn't work. I tried turning my tablet off and using a plugged in keyboard and mouse and that didn't work. This is frustrating. It's slowing down my workflow and wasting my time with trying to find solutions. I hope Adobe figures this stuff out - I was frustrated enough with being forced to pay a monthly fee for a product I've been loyal to for almost a decade to begin with. If there are going to be unfixable issues like this, it will make my die-hard loyalty to Adobe start to feel like a bad relationship I can't get out of.

The plugin did not work for me. I've been having trouble with the keyboard shortcut in illustrator to release clipping mask. Also, my brushes in photoshop have been freezing photoshop along with doing some other bizarre things.

The fixes and workarounds from the plugin are already built into CC 2014.

So, Adam and Jeffrey,
With the new Photoshop CC 2014 upon us .....what do we have to do to not run into the same problem with the lagging Keyboard shortcuts...
do we have to reinstall the same wonderfully working plugin into CC 2014 or is it integrated ?
Let us know.
