P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi
I found another solution to this problem, since I noticed that [ on a Mac is "Alt + Shift + (" and "Alt + Shift" is turning my cursor into a color sampler.
I changed the keyboard shortcuts for brush size to é and è instead of [ and ] since I'm on a Azerty keyboard. You might want to change that to some other unused keys

I had the white window menu installed, but I began experiencing strange anomalies I had not prior. I removed the plugin and those anomalies stopped.

On the flip side, everything seems okay for the moment, but time should tell.

Polygonal lasso tool randomly not working. I can only get about two clicks in before it just stops, and ends the loop or just does not respond.

Also my keyboard shortcuts are sporadically not working.

I DID have the white window menu problem and installed the patch for that (which fixed that), but the other problems are still there.

This is driving me crazy. I have a Mac os x version 10.9 with 32 gb of memory. Brand new computer with tons of extra memory and photshop is working worse than ever. What can I do?! Would re-installing photoshop help?

You need to install the plug-in in in each versions plug in folder. So if you have multiple versions of Photoshop (e.g. CS5, CS6, CC) you'd need to install the plug-in for each version you have installed.

"...but you'll need one copy for each app's plug-in folder..."

I am not a seasoned veteran of Apple or Photoshop. Can someone help me understand what the above means? What is "each app's plug-in folder?"

Thanks in advance,
Aaron

Hi Doug, it sounds like you're seeing a different conflict. Try quitting other running applications until the spacebar works again in Photoshop. Once you find the offending application, see if there's an update for the product. (1Password, for example, had a conflict like this that was fixed in an update)

Just installed the plugin and all seems fine. Working great. Lets all hope this problem with Maverick all gets sorted soon.

I am having the issue of my shortcuts not working. I am not using a Wacom. I did attempt to install the plugin anyway and I still have the same issue. I am running the latest updates to Mavericks and photoshop CC updated.

In particular spacebar command does not zoom in. I have unchecked the spotlight in preferences.
