P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Well, I've just finished a five hour retouch and I can say that the problem has finally been fixed using the plugin posted above.

It had been causing me nightmares as I just couldn't go more than a few strokes with the brush without it locking up.

Thanks Adobe people!

Using Photoshop on Mac OS Mavericks, there is a 30% chance that I cannot undo after doing a task. It's very difficult to tell when this is being caused. I'm unsure as to whether this is an adobe issue or Mavericks issue, because it works fine on my Windows machine.

A quick fix for me is to make another change to my project, then step backwards twice. Of course this leads to the previous problem submitted regarding step backwards changing layer selections.

If it's a Photoshop issue and not Mavericks related, please fix this.

Thanks Adobe!

This sounds like an issue that's different from the main topic, so I created a new topic to continue the discussion. Please reference the new topic here: Photoshop: Issue using text tools in CC

I seem to be having a similar problem but I am not using a tablet and I am using windows 8 on a brand new machine.

Designed a very straight forward poster early in the week consisting of a solid colour with some black text, document size is 43 m so not huge.

I need to edit the text but when I have gone back into the document, selected the text tool, clicked on the text box to amend it, the curser stops flashing and any changes I make are invisible, even to the point that nothing actually happens.

When I click the check/tick sign at the top of the page the amendments become visible.

When I use the mouse scroll to zoom in and out, the rules change size but the document stays the same until I click off it.

I have done a complete re-install but it is exactly the same.

It was fine last week so it seems to be a recent change.

PS CC is completely unusable like this and I have urgent work to do so any help would be most appreciated

Move tool would only let me have hand tool today...after clicking on other tools several times it came back but not immediately
-I checked that nothing was pressing down spacebar.. might this mean a resurfacing of the problem or is it just something I'm doing wrong.....

We haven't put out an update in several weeks. Are you referring to the Behance update?

And Jeff did answer your question.

Chris, is the new update ( from today) safe to install.
My question from this morning was not answered.
Thanks

That sounds like a very different issue from the one being discussed in this topic. Please create a new topic, and provide more details so we can help you solve your crashing problems.
