P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

thanks for asking , - after general use

was fine after the install, Same thing happened before. I uninstalled/reinstalled previously to solve

I tried to just delete the prefs but couldn't find them, everything seems to have changed from the last PPC Mac I was using where I knew where everything was, anyway, to solve the problem I have uninstalled (inc prefs) and reinstalled andit's OK at the moment

I'm keeping an eagle eye on it to see if I can work out whether its a particular thing I do before it happens again

So it is not safe and we all should not install it ( since my question has no answer i assume this) ?

Hi Simon, did it have this problem immediately after your reinstall? Or did it work for a while and then start happening?

I've only seen happen with right after a damaged update/install, not after general use.

Does this update has this plugin built in ?

- No

If yes is it fine to leave the "old" plugin in place ?

- Yes

I haven't tried with two displays yet - I am still too nervous to do anything different after all the troubleshooting before - now it seems mostly ok ( I had an odd glitch yesterday which Im not sure whether is related or not)

Do make sure you're using the latest version of photoshop (my psCS6 very recently updated)

Apple also have an update to Mavericks - not sure whether thats a good thing or not.....

there is also this thread on the Adobe forums relating to the same issue btw

Hello Simon, many thanks for your reply. I have the plugin, but when I use the mini display port to DVI adapter with the 1600X1200 resolution the shortcuts issues appear 😞 with the mini display port to vga on the 1400 X 1050 resolution I can work, but the image is big and a little blurred.

By the way, the plugin solve the white window issue to me.

I have an 8gb Ram iMac (late 2013) and Cintiq 21UX with wireless apple keyboard and Intel Iris Pro Graphics.

Hope something can help me. best regards.

If you haven't already installed the plug-in from Adobe that solves these problems, please do - it seems to be the answer!

It is located at the top of the very first page of this thread, about the second post down
