P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Same issues here. I have a iMac (late 2013) and Wacom Cintiq 21UX, I only can work with a Mini diplay port to vga adapter and only on a 1400 X 1050 resolution.

I try with a mini display port to DVI adapter and with this I can select 1600X1200 resolution, but the keyboard shortcuts fail, delay or something like this, is really a pint to try for hours with the 1400 resolution, looks a little blurred and after a while is a pain for my eyes.

Hope you can help us with this issue

Yes I've got exactly the same setup. It seems Macs are getting more like pc's of the old days, in they need setting up for specific equipment.

For me photoshop is working great now. No crashes or problems in Mavericks.
But your comment about quality settings is interesting though. Because I noticed that switching to advanced settings removes antialias on guides and paths (even though its suppose to be there). It ́s nothing that I ́ve reported because the antialias itself isnt really important. But it questions if switching to high or advanced quality settings actually removes some other important features which are suppose to be there and are present in lower quality. It ́s been like this in Mountain Lion too though, so it has nothing to do with Mavericks.

Maybe someone from Adobe know why this happens ?
I dont know if it happens for all mac users, but for me with an imac i7, with 680mx card it does and always has.

Their are another 2 bug fixes too:
-First one was making sure you don't start Safari before PS, that fixed my zoom problems.
-2nd I think adobe told me and it is to turn the graphics processor to 'Normal', advanced is causing problems. This one stops crashes.

Martha, if the plug-in isn't working for you I would suspect either system utility or another running.

First, Are you running any system extensions? They usually show up here in System Preferences:

If you aren't, try quitting other open applications one by one until the keyboard shortcuts come back in Photoshop. That will help you figure out which application might be eating the shortcuts.

Well, I had high hopes and was happy to hear others have found a solution to this issue but I am sad to report that this bug fix has not resolved the problem for me.

I find that I am still in the same place - I can work fine for a while, then the keyboard commands begin to stop working again. The one I use a lot is the cmd+space to zoom. I was working on a layered file, moving and resizing things and adding color overlays. I closed those files, opened another and cmd+space bar no longer works. I was not using a brush. I was not working on a tablet, just a mouse and keyboard.

As I have mentioned several times before, and have not seen anyone else mention this, I have the same issue in Illustrator. From my standpoint it is an issue with Mavericks as the issues only began when I upgraded. sigh...

PS CC has been working flawlessly for the last 2 hours thanks to that plugin.

For the first time I think PS CC is now working bug free (after 3 fixes).

Thanks to who ever made it 🙂

Hi Anthony,

Check out http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/p...

Put a copy in your plugins folder and you should be golden.

Thanks,
David

Im running the latest photoshop CC 14.2.1 on the latest quad core iMac with 36GB.

When I'm working on an image, lets say cloning or paint brush, sometimes when I use the keyboard it doesn't work. To unfreeze the keyboard I need to select a new tool.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it???

I'm also very happy after this plugin was announced. My Photoshop CS6 is now running like a dream with maverick:)
