P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I weighed in a few times awhile ago with is problem but want to report back because I have just upgraded to a new Mac Pro 6 Core last week and haven't experienced keyboard shortcut freezing —SO FAR. My previous set up was a late 2012 iMac running Maverick 10.9.1 and Wacom Intuos 3. Now I'm on a Mac Pro running Maverick 10.9.1 and Wacom Intuos 3. We did have the problem on the iMacs with or without a tablet so it's not Wacom. To me it's pretty obvious it's a bad Apple.

I have some good news. We have a plugin that we think mitigates the keyboard shortcut issue in CS6 and CC on OS 10.9.x (when using brush-based tools with a stylus/tablet device).

You can grab the plug-in here: http://bit.ly/NzQly1

Then drop it into your plugins folder (works with CS6 and CC, but you'll need one copy for each app's plug-in folder). Note the name of the plug-in is the WhiteWindowWorkaround - that's because the patch that prevents that issue from occuring is also included in the same plug-in package.

Please let me know if this helps with the issues you've been seeing as well as any potential side effects.

Thanks for your patience with this,
Adam

Hi all ~

I have been following this thread but apparently not as closely as I thought as it appears I've missed something. Someone mentioned the Intel HD Graphics card *possibly* being a contributing factor. I know much of this is speculation as to which components or combination are causing the issue; Adobe, Apple, Wacom,... But are there users with Intel HD Graphics cards experiencing the problems more than others without?

This is part of the configuration I have and have had a problem only since I upgraded to Mavericks. Photoshop CC was working fine before then.

What MBP do you have? Are you sure you don't have an Intel HD integrated graphics too?

Never use Chrome so not part of the issue on my set up

Yes, we have. We have also signed several people (who see this happen often) up for prerelease to test prospective fixes.

Has Adobe canvassed most users with the problem as to their complete set up?
might this not provide a clue or two?
(no one's asked me .....)

On the debugging side, it's been mentioned on here by another poster that the problem is more prevalent when Chrome is running - I've found this to be the case also - the problem does not disappear, but keyboard shortcuts work for longer before they are not available

No Chris, you are wrong, I actually I cannot downgrade to MacOS 10.8 at any time. It is NOT an option I have, neither does anyone else in the my situation have it

In fact I have pressed Apple hard for a way to do this and they inform me, that in my situation, it simply is not an option

Your response was a glib one, and rather betrays how you really feel about the problem we are experiencing
