@Radiant_smarts157F ,

We just fixed an issue with multiple windows (and the top image 'glittering' when sending Ps to a back process; this issue may be related), and that fix is in the Beta; can you try downloading the latest Beta to see if the issue is still present?

I'm still having this issue with Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.6.0 20230615.r.573 15cc86e arm64.

The issue seems to be getting worse with each update? In the past, I had this once in a while. Now, with the latest update, it almost always happens: 2 documents open; focus one and the other turns gray. When I move the window a little (drag the title-bar), the contents of that windiw is shown again.

However, it seems to depend on the types of documents. When I make 2 simple files with a single simpe layer (pixels only), there is no issue. When I open a more complex file, with more nested files (20 or so)  / smart objects and more layer comps, the issue reappears – also on the simple documents.

The only way to avoid this issue is to turn off the 'Use graphics processor' option. Leaving that option on but switching off all options in the "Advanced Settings" doesn't solve it.

"GPU compatibility" tells me everything is good.

I have a screen recording available, and I can provide the system info as well.

@Mark C. Dahm

I don't have any external monitors. It's a laptop and I only use the built in screen.

I checked the option you mentioned. That doesn't put the extra options inside the Technology Previews, if that's what you meant by "does that clean it up"...

If you meant "does the problem go away?", then I will have to wait until it happens (or doesn't happen). Give me a few more days and if the issue comes back, I will let you know 😉

Again, thank you so much for the quick and helpful replies! Fingers crossed now...

@TiagoRocha , if you check that "Legacy Compositing" button there (and restart), does that clean it up? Second, do you have multiple monitors and are they attached when you launch the app?

Maybe that's the issue (old version).

I'm in the middle of some important projects and updating applications in that situation is always a problem for me so I will have to wait until I'm done with those. I had issues with several applications when updating and so I try to avoid updating unless I'm not "at risk" 😉

I will do it as soon as I'm done. Really appreciate your time and help!

But as I mentioned, I don't have that option under Technology previews:

@TiagoRocha , that's a quite a bit older version of Photoshop you have there; can you try things out with the current version?
