Yes, it's annoying the way this isn't consistent across Adobe apps.

Holding shift should constrain no matter which handle is used - right?

Jeff, do you understand that the original issue is still not solved?? Your first attempt to address the issue created a behavior that nobody but the newest users can appreciate, and your Legacy option completely ignores the issue altogether! I think Adobe should consult the users who have been using their products for decades before letting a 25 year old designer remove functions that are used so much. I mean what is the point removing this? It's not like they have enabled another function to use Shift + Free transform. Idiocy.

It appears Adobe has abandoned their base of professional users with these ill-conceived changes. It's so frustrating.

Taking away the shift key to constrain proportions after an upgrade made me look stupid in-front of clients. I have used Photoshop for over 20 years and stumbled transforming an image. Had 3 people ask me if I needed help. If Photoshop makes me look stupid too often then I will have to ditch it.

Then change it everywhere. It's not the change itself that's mind numbing, it's that every other tool in every other app works the opposite way. They switched 1st gear with reverse but only on one road. Consistency is design 101, it's embarrassing.
