P: Every drawing action snaps to upper left hand screen corner (Window 10 with WinTab)

This problem is reproducible with every start of Photoshop and persists.

It started to appear today with the new update to 21.1

In almost all drawing tools (brush, pen, smudge, copy, eraser, etc...) , after i click and drag a little to draw something, the tooltip will snap to the upper left hand corner of the screen space, (drawing a line to there).

- this is version 21.1 of creative cloud photoshop in Germany, also tested in english install, and switched to english locale, on windows 7 64 bit

- I tried resetting Photoshop to defaults (CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-Start)

- I tried resetting all tools to default via tool palette

- i tried resetting all brushes to defaults

- i tried restarting computer

- i tried disabling all other programms running (autohotkey, browser, mail-programs)

Hints are:

- if in brush i turn up "Smoothing (Glättung)" to something higher than 0% then the bug will not occur.

- the bug will only occur if a click-and-drag. Doing just clicks, it won't jump to the corner. Someone else with the same problem reported he also has the problem with clicks too, not just just with click-dragging-and-releasing (a.k.a painting)

- the tools that have no smoothing-% setting, i can not get to work.

Just updated Photoshop 2020 with the new content aware/lens blur additions but now my lasso tool, polygonal lasso, magnetic lasso, spot healing brush, patch tool, (and others!) are acting strange. When I use the lasso tool to draw a selection around an object the tool shoots a thin line of selection beyond what I want (hope that makes sense). Other tools have a similar issue...for example, using the clone tool results in a section of the background being affected as well as the section being cloned. I tried deleting the preference file but this didn't fix things. I also tried resetting the tools but that didn't work either. I uninstalled the update and went back to the previous version and all is well now. A bug?

Since I updated to PS 21.1, the lasso tool has problems when clicking the Alt button to make a straight selection.

The photoshop creates a point far away as part of the selection and a triangular shape is added to the selection that wasn't supposed to be there.

An example just to showcase the bug: If I tried to add something to that circle selection clicking alt, this unwanted triangular selection would appear.

This is really frustrating, as I use the Lasso Tool to make straight selections a lot. I had to downgrade my PS to version 21.0.3 to be able to keep working. And now I have to deal with the bugs in the version 21.0.3.

I've got this problem too. Windows 7 64 bit. Reverting to 21.0.3 fixes it, but I lost all my actions in the process.

I have this problem with PS 21.1.0 using WinTab API with my Wacom Pen the rocker button seem to trigger the problem even when I disable the buttons in Wacom preferences. Using Windows INK API does not have the problem but I do have other issues using Windows INK.

Also the lasso tool? I needed to revert to the version 21.0.3 and now everything is normal.

I (original poster) do not have the problem today. What is going on? The version number of photoshop is still the same. Did adobe fix this behind the curtain???
Someone else posted his same problem was gone, after changing memory settings. But my memory settings are still the same, as they are the pref defaults. (before and after the PS prefs-reset)

For me is the same with the zoom too. The lag was terrible and really annoying. I ́m backing to 21.0.3.
