P: Floating document windows in fullscreen w/menu bar causes window to jump to center

With the new release, the zooming mechanism has changed and it always behaves as if "Zoom Clicked Point to Center" was turned on when I am using keyboard shortcut (mapped to Wacom Pen). It works as expected when I'm zooming with scroll wheel.

hayden, yes with osx 10.11.6 and ps 19.0.1, i don't have the zooming/snapping issue and never have. I work exclusively in non-appframe, fullscreen mode with no problem.

however! i do have a mbp with 10.12 and after installing the update, the bug is still very much alive!

eartho, is the zoom tool working perfectly for you?

Application frame and tabs off. Can’t stand either of those being on. That does bring up another issue that I’ve been ignoring for a few photoshop versions now though. When cycling between 2 or more files using quick keys, the image used to stay in the exact same position as it was when cycling back to it (great for comparing 2 files quickly) but now when cycling through files, the position of the image always drops to the lower right corner of the screen so a lot of the image is not visible. This problem is “fixed” when using tabs, but I can’t stand using tabs otherwise. Anyways, back to this issue that’s not so easy to ignore, I’ve tried many preference combinations with no improvement to the zoom tool.

I updated to 19.0.1, nothing change with this annoying bug. In full screen mode with menu bar still snaps to the centre. CC2017 was fine even without application frame and tabs. OSX El Capitan.

It still hasn't been fixed. I just updated Photoshop and tested it to be sure before replying here and the problem still exists. Zoom works fine when in "Full Screen Mode", but not in "Full Screen Mode With Menu Bar". The canvas still snaps to the centre of the screen when zooming out from a corner, for instance, as soon as the full width of the canvas comes into view and you let go of the animated zoom, the canvas jumps into the centre. When in "Full Screen Mode", the zoom focus point remains stable and allows you to pan the image into the centre of your screen if you want to. Please fix this super frustrating bug. Working in Full Screen mode has it's annoyances when you're working quickly and need to access the menu bar. Many small frustrations per day can lead to a really negative working experience. I'll continue using cc 2017 until this issue has been resolved.

What's the update on this?

This ridiculous bug is very annoying and should have been fixed by now...
