P: Floating document windows in fullscreen w/menu bar causes window to jump to center

With the new release, the zooming mechanism has changed and it always behaves as if "Zoom Clicked Point to Center" was turned on when I am using keyboard shortcut (mapped to Wacom Pen). It works as expected when I'm zooming with scroll wheel.

photoshop CC 2018 has got a bug in scrubby zoom and hand tool. Image jumps to the middle of the screen while moving the image.
FYI  'Resize windows to fit' is unchecked

Every time I'm working in Full Screen/Menu Bar mode, the artboard keeps jumping back to center. If I zoom in and to a corner a little, once I try to commit an action, it jumps back to center. This keeps happening over and over and is making me nauseated, plus making it super hard to work on specific parts of a piece.

Hi Fernando,

I merged your comment with this thread because this is a known issue. This issue will be resolved in the next release of Photoshop.

Provided you aren't dependent on new features in 19.0 (19.0 new features are listed here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/whats-new.html), you may wish to install a previous version of Photoshop and use it until the next release is ready.

It doesn't take long: Open the Creative Cloud desktop app, in the drop-down menu next to Photoshop choose "Other Versions" - 18 would be the previous version that did not have this issue.

Hannah

It’s bordering on humorous how long this has been going on. Didn’t this become an issue in October??

When working in Full-screen mode (with menu bar) Photoshop auto aligns the canvas to the center of the screen after zooming out. This is really annoying and is a new behavior.

Say you drag your canvas (CMD + spacebar) to the right side of the screen while zoomed in. After you work on that area and zooms out of it, Photoshop will center the canvas on the screen automatically.

I have to keep dragging back to the desired part of the canvas every time and my workflow is being interrupted every 10 seconds.

Is there a way to prevent this or turn this 'feature' off?

Thanks!

Me too, as mentioned in the other thread.  Wa driving me mad.  Have had to go back to CC2017 until this bug/'feature' is fixed.  Grrrrr......

Hi Mono,

I'm sorry that I'm not able to give a precise date (timelines are kept discreet since we are a publicly-traded company).

As I said above, the resolution for this issue will be included in the next release, 19.1.

If you'd rather go back to a previous version while you wait for the next release to come out, it only takes moments to install a previous version of Photoshop.

Hannah

Do we know when this update or release will be available, this is ridiculously frustrating.

This bug is beyond ridiculous. The fact that it's gone on this long is unacceptable

$49/mo for CC.  90% of my work is done in Photoshop. All work done in Photoshop is affected by this ongoing nightmare which has added too many unnecessary hours to my weekly workload.

Working in Tabs is only less of a nightmare. And still unacceptable.

Complaints dating back over a month, very little response out of Adobe, and not a single one of those vague responses has provided a date to which we'll have such a fix.

It's clear Adobe doesn't care about it's customers.

How is it even remotely possible for a problem like this to go on for so long?

Can you not farm out this work to someone capable of fixing or do we have to keep on suffering through the incompetence of those who are "working" on this?

So tired of hearing about what you're gonna do.

SHOW me what you've done.
