P: Gemini and Flux generative fill not working in Photoshop 27, Progress bar stuck

Just updated to latest version of Photoshop, version 27.0.0 on Windows. For some reason generative fill using either Gemini or Flux Kontext Pro is not working.

I make a selection

In the contextual task bar I click on Generative Fill

I select either Gemini or Flux

I type a prompt (can literally be anything)

Photoshop shows the progress bar and it creates the Generative Fill layer. But at like 50/75% of progress the progress bar suddenly disappears and the generative fill layer also is gone. No errors, no crashes, just .. as if it never happened. Firefly generation works just fine. I have tried different images, from scratch, different prompts. It doesn't matter, the 3rd party generative options simply do not work for me. I have also installed the Photoshop beta just in case, and that has the same issue unfortunately.

What can be the cause? Is there some place where I can check logs for any possible errors?

Same here.

Nano Banana and Flux not working at all. Progress bar goes to about 25% and then... nothing.

Hi @AKS666

Apologies for this experience. We’ve received reports of this issue from multiple users and have already raised it with the product team for investigation. However, we’ll need a few details from your end as well. Please share your System Info by going to Help > System Info in Photoshop and copying the details here.

Also, could you please confirm if switching your network connection to a mobile hotspot makes any difference?

Regards,

Srishti

Hi @loco27057486xady

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the detailed steps — that really helps! To help us investigate further, could you please share your system info? You can find it by going to Help > System Info in Photoshop, then copy and paste the details here.

Also, let us know if you’ve tried resetting Photoshop preferences or disabling GPU performance to see if that makes any difference.

Once we have these details, we can suggest the next steps.

Regards,

Srishti
