P: Gemini and Flux generative fill not working in Photoshop 27, Progress bar stuck

Just updated to latest version of Photoshop, version 27.0.0 on Windows. For some reason generative fill using either Gemini or Flux Kontext Pro is not working. 

 

I make a selection

In the contextual task bar I click on Generative Fill

I select either Gemini or Flux

I type a prompt (can literally be anything)

 

Photoshop shows the progress bar and it creates the Generative Fill layer. But at like 50/75% of progress the progress bar suddenly disappears and the generative fill layer also is gone. No errors, no crashes, just .. as if it never happened. Firefly generation works just fine. I have tried different images, from scratch, different prompts. It doesn't matter, the 3rd party generative options simply do not work for me. I have also installed the Photoshop beta just in case, and that has the same issue unfortunately.

 

What can be the cause? Is there some place where I can check logs for any possible errors?

All working fine. 

I sent the list to my work's system admin to check.

But it still should work on my private computer.

If I try it on my personal Mac, which I am allowed to, no system admin is involved. Still does not work

@AKS666 Thanks for sharing this information. Could you please confirm if you’ve already tried the steps suggested by Sameer? Try using Photoshop Web (https://adobe.ly/3WkhVFm) on your work machine and see if that works. Also, go to https://adobe.ly/4hCxv81 and see if you can create anything using Gen Ai on Adobe Firefly.

 

If not, ensure all the Adobe Network endpoints are whitelisted: https://adobe.ly/3STmkga

@Srishti Bali thanks for your answer but none of the options works (gemini, flux, nano...) it calculate quickely then stop around 25% or sometimes 50% then nothing happens

I checked your account and found that you’re on a customized Teams plan with a low credit limit of just 10 credits. Since Nano Banana and Flux Kontext require higher credit usage, try using the basic Firefly model to see if that works. If yes, I recommend reaching out to your admin to request additional credits.

 

@Rav052024WhLED, @AKS666, @Rob33517119tz5q — I checked your accounts as well, and it looks like you’re on Teams or Enterprise plans. Your accounts show available credits, so please try the steps suggested by Sameer and let us know if you still need assistance or if everything is working fine now.

The same happened to me. Generative Fill is not working with partner models. Attached is the screenshot. The progress bar went halfway and then disappeared. It never completed the process.

Hey, @Rav052024WhLED@AKS666 & @joanng63524557. Thanks for adding the comments and details. I reviewed the account you've used to log in and found two profiles, one with an active subscription.

 

There are a few layers to this:

1 - If an IT team manages the device, ensure all the Adobe Network endpoints are whitelisted: https://adobe.ly/3STmkga

2 - You can also try using Photoshop Web (https://adobe.ly/3WkhVFm) on a different/alternate device & internet network to rule out if it's a network issue. 

3 - If Firefly based Generative Fill works and partner models are not working, you can also work with your admin to enable access at the account level.

I am trying to use Nano Banana generative tool, but it always gives me check your internet connection error. Other generative fill tools (like Firefly image) work fine.

 

Please advise how to fix this. My internet is good, using Windows 10, Photoshop version 27
