P: Generator error "There is a problem with Generator. Please quit Photoshop and try again"

We are having issues with our students using Photoshop 2018. When they launch Photoshop as non admins they receive the  following error message on launch of the software and exporting the document.

"There is a problem with Generator. Please quit Photoshop and try again. If the problem persists remove any third-party plugins or try reinstalling Photoshop"

I have an ongoing call logged with Adobe support earlier this month and they are still investigating this. I've also tried the latest June version today without any luck.

If I install the archived Photoshop 2017 the students have no issues using the software and exporting their work. We've paid for the latest version so ideally want this working.

I thought I would post on here to see if anyone else is having this issue or recommend a fix

Wow . thanks ! I would have sworn I tried it with malware bytes off .. but evidently not as this seems to fix the problem.

Also, if you use Malwarebytes you need to add the same Photoshop node to your allow list.

Do you have Malwarebytes by any chance?

Malwarebytes latest update stopped Generator from working.
You need to add:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\node.exe to your "Allow List"

Can you try whitelisting "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015\node.exe" in your security/antivirus application and let us know the results.

It's been a couple months since I've had to use photoshop at work. When I fired it up today, I kept getting an error message telling me "There was a problem with Generator." After doing a lot of google search I found that, we can disable generaor feature.
