@Dramenon, any chance you could provide an update on the progress for this issue?

This is extremely pathetic. The first day there will be reliable and fast photoshop alternative I will quit this stupid company. I already quit premiere, hope one day will be able to quit using photoshop as well. Also on top of that, some of the actions I use take a good few seconds, but the CPU/GPU usage is no higher than 15%. Brilliant optimization 😄 lol
And guess what. That's only in Adobe software.

When working in Photoshop 20.0.5 there were no problems. I opened about 100 photos and everything worked fine.
I see that the problem has already been known for more than 1 year, but Adobe is in no hurry to solve it. Sadness.
If the problem was in the video card, then everyone would have a different number of uploaded photos. Everyone has exactly 25. Starting from the 26th photo, everyone has problems.
I agree with the opinion of others that starting from the 26th photo, video card support is disabled. And this is a Photoshop bug.

Yep... It's been a full year and two months since the original bug post.

Still not fixed....

After so many months there is no fix. Adobe does not care about this it just want you money and that's it!

It doesn't work. If you have 25 images everything is good, add one more image and nothing works anymore. It uses only the cpu

Updated from version Photoshop 20.0.5 to version 24.1.
When uploading more than 25 photos, there were problems with the smoothness of the image display when zooming with the mouse wheel. The peculiarity is that there are no problems with uploaded photos from 1 to 25, but there are problems for 26 photos in the upload order and beyond.
The problem is in the speed of zooming with the mouse wheel, in the twitching of the image. There is also a noticeable decrease in response speed when using brushes.
I tried to upload smaller photos, I tried to reconfigure the performance settings in the settings. These actions did not work.
I uploaded 40 resized photos. When working with photos from 1 to 25, there are no problems. There are problems when working from 26 to 40 photos.
If 25 photos have already been uploaded and we upload 10 more photos, then those 10 photos will have display problems when zooming with the mouse wheel.
In version 20.0.5, there were no such problems. I uploaded up to 100 photos and did not notice any difference in work, there were no problems.

Hi @OlexanderMyshko sorry to hear you are having issues.

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thank you,

Cory

Currently we are stuck w 25 open images, if you intend to use the GPU, and have the interface be snappy.

It's funny as I've adjusted my entire workflow around this arbitary 25 image limit. I like to use batch scripts to apply actions, and I have to do it 2-3 times per gig, versus just once.

Annoying. My version too is 24.0.0
