Hello! I think it's an app problem since we are all experiencing it

It's ridiculous that it's taking so long to correct. Maybe if we all rate it 1 star in the App Store they will do something about it.

I just got this acknowledgment of a bug to be fixed, I think from a person the virtual chat connected me to:

Adobe is not going to respond. The phone appointments you set with them will not happen, they simply will not call. I've been experiencing this now over a week and since I can no longer do my work on Photoshop I've spent a great deal of time researching this issue. For example check your subscriptions on Apple, you'll see the one for Photoshop is no longer there. Most likely if you check your Adobe account, you'll see you no longer have Photoshop activated. You may even see where you once a had a certain number of mobile access apps, they’re now gone having been replaced with web access apps. Adobe doesn't feel this particular group of users (IOS/mobile) are as important as say the Enterprise groups. I can almost guarantee that anything preventing the Enterprise group from using their version of Adobe Photoshop would be addressed by Adobe within a maximum of 48 hours. But as for the user group we're in, we are virtually being ignored, and I'll go one step further and say it's my belief Adobe is simply hoping we'll give up and go away. However, I will not.

I ran the Photoshop ISP crash report through AI and asked it to provide details on what was causing this issue, and what it came up with was pretty much what I expected. I mean what else could cause the app to show that I have no activated apps?  To indicate now my account that had always been for IOS iPad had no mobile access apps, but 23 Web access apps when we know web access isn't available on iPad?

Below is what AI said:

"Looking at this crash report, I can identify the key issue causing Adobe Photoshop to fail on your iOS device.

The primary problem is indicated by the exception type: EXC BAD INSTRUCTION with signal SIGILL (Illegal instruction). This means the app is trying to execute an instruction that your device's processor doesn't support or understand.

Here are the specific details pointing to the root cause:

Hardware/Software Mismatch:

Your device: iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Generation

iOS version: 17.7.8

App version: Adobe Photoshop 6.3 (build 20250619.632)

The Core Issue: The crash occurs because this version of Adobe Photoshop contains code compiled with newer ARM64 instructions that aren't supported by your iPad's A10 processor. The illegal instruction error happens when the app tries to execute these unsupported processor instructions.

Why This Happens:

Adobe likely compiled this version using newer development tools that generate code optimized for newer ARM processors

Your iPad has an older A10 chip that doesn't support some of the newer ARM64 instruction sets

The app wasn't properly tested or configured for backward compatibility with older iPad models."

My suggestion is to bombard Adobe with  facts such as these but of your own, and get as many others who are experiencing this same issue to do the same. While Adobe used to be a very customer oriented company with great customer service it's simply not any longer and will only respond to the numbers. Best of luck.

I have the exact same problem, photoshop no longer opening on iPad Pro. Have a paid photography subscription package, I expect communication from Adobe about the issue and when or how it will be resolved.

Here's another curious discovery, Adobe shows they have no activated devices of mine for their apps.

I had the infamous Adobe ISP report regarding the crash upon launch looked at by AI and this is what it says about this issue on my iPad:

Looking at this crash report, I can identify the key issue causing Adobe Photoshop to fail on your iOS device.

The primary problem is indicated by the exception type: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION with signal SIGILL (Illegal instruction). This means the app is trying to execute an instruction that your device's processor doesn't support or understand.

What does Adobe say? We've all been waiting for a fix for software we pay for over a week.

Adobe isn't responding, with the exception of one bot/AI here that says variations of the same thing over and over with nothing happening. I wonder what they will do when the financial fallout we their paying clients experience gets to be so large we have no choice but to file a class action lawsuit. I suspect Adobe knows exactly what this is and for some unknown reason are refusing to do anything to correct it. First, check your subscriptions, what was once listed in my Apple subscriptions is now gone. I then went to my Adobe account and it shows all my apps as web apps with zero mobile apps. IOS cannot utilize web apps. Although the payments are for Creative Pro which clearly states includes Photoshop for iPad. I wonder why. This all began after last Fridays update, why not roll back the update? I no longer have faith or confidence in Adobe, what was once a stellar company is now one that apparently couldn't care less about their clients.

Hey,

since i updated my photoshop a few days ago photoshop won't start. When I try to open it the lockscreen opens up but closes within one second and crashes.

Of course I reastarted the Ipad multiple times, re-downloaded the app and even completely deleted my Ipad and restarted it. Nothings helping. I assume its because of the newest Update.

i'm using Photoshop on an Ipad Pro with IOS 17.7.8 currently. Please help!
