P: MacBook Pro Apple M2 Max Laggy Liquify

MacBook Pro Apple M2 Max 96GB RAM - Photoshop 24.2
I recently changed to this new computer and photoshop is super laggy in tools like liquify and other filters, the brush lags a lot!
Even the zoom is slow.
Even my 2015 MacBook is faster at these tasks.

I don't know what is going on but something can't be right...

    Running 24.4.1 (latest verison of PS) on my MBP M2 Max and also experiencing the liquify lag issue. Is there really no fix for this yet?? Liquify is basically unusable. Please sort this out.

    New Beta 24.6 today... And after over 45 days Liquify still doesn't work well...

      I know this may sound crazy but it worked for me and I cannot explain it...

      I was working the other day with a youtube video playing with the picture in picture feature and Liquify stopped being laggy for some reason..

      Tested both jpg and psd and tried several days before posting.

      Its not a solution but it may save you some time till an actual solution comes.

        @CShubert 24.4.1 Photoshop and Liquify still very lagge.

        To replicate the steps:

        1. I open 5 files in Photoshop (export from Lightroom)
        2. I work with the photos in turn and use liquify when working with each file
        3. First 1-2 photos don't have lags or issues with liquify 
        4. When I work with 3-4th's file and use liquify -> HUGE LAG appears making everything take forever (zoom using keybinds, mouse movements, etc.) 
        5. Restart of Photoshop doesn't help 
        6. What usually helps is restart of MacBook Pro 2

        Is this a joke Adobe? New Photoshop update today and still no fix for M2 liquify bug!!! It's been over a month and 4 updates and NO FIX!!! What is going on???

        Same goes for the 24.5 beta. New update today and no fix!

          Hi Didn't work for me. same unusable Liquify. I tried it on PS 24.4.1 and the new 24.5 Beta from 3 days ago...

          This really really sucks. M2 has been out for months now. It's unheard of that Adobe can't figure out the incompatibily 

          I'm extremely frustrated at this time.

          I think I have found a solution. It may have been caused by the function of the "GPU composite".
          I found that the old version  did not have this option, so I unselected it and restarted Photoshop, and the lagging problem disappeared for me.
          Perhaps it is a bug in the new version of Photoshop.
          Everyone can try it out, and I hope Adobe can provide a fix.

            I just tested PS 24.3 and PS 23.5.5. 
            24.3 works better, but still lag, 23.5.5 works like normal (almost), seems like it's the problem of version PS 24. Hope it helps you guys who works everyday with Liquify like me.
