P: Make the brush cursor easier to see (too thin, not enough contrast with some colors)

In last updates I'm having problem seeing brush (paint and healing) cursor when working with colors similar to cursor grey (grey or brown midtones for expamle).

Sometimes cursor changes to white, but for very short time and very randomly.

So it's really hard to see where I'm just gonna paint or heal. It is really annoying and tiring.

It's still difficult to work on FHD as well as 4k. Adobe doesn't seem to be very concerned, given that it's not even written in a known bug in Adobe's update release note.
Because there will be more opinions about bugs in the general public than in the few litters, and many people rarely work in gray gray, so there are a lot of people who don't feel uncomfortable with that mouse cursor or don't know that it's happening at all.
I don't know. I just need to adjust, but... i don't know why they don't care about uncomfortable bugs, but only about big updates that look fancy on the outside.

I think honestly like this. I think these minor errors should be corrected first rather than adobe's sky synthesis or the update of sensei. As the version goes up, there are more bugs and Photoshop is getting slower.

And the issue has again been pushed to the team.

@andre_schneider_7299466 Yea maybe that is an idea. In 4K as said it is simply completely impossible to do any serious work with the behavior right now. It might be easier on lesser res though.

I think we should also post on social media (Twitter, Instagram, etc) tagging Adobe on this. At least I got a response from them on Twitter saying they're working on a solution, but I'm sure if everyone that posted here would post on Twitter they'd fix it faster.

Why the hell is no one addressing this since years at Adobe? I had to stop work for a few years sadly only to find out that you cannot even work with PS anymore. Not only is this dangerous for your eye health, I got severe nausea after a few days of retouching with this cursor now. And I even cannot select and install a proper version of PS because this was introduced like 3 years ago. This is really insane

Photoshop has an inbuilt feature whereby the cursor changes colour depending on the background to ensure the user can still see it.

However, in the last two years as a retoucher, I've found it often chooses a colour that is too difficult to see. This is especially apparent on grey backgrounds.

Here's a screenshot. Can you find the cursor?

This could be fixed if they would simply add the Path vis options to the Brush options:

Why hasn't Adobe answered for years?
It used to work with the original mouse cursor when it returned to the 2019 version, but now it's all the same.
I think added a function for mouse cursor(realtime change cursor edge based on pixel brightness) as updated from Photoshop 2019 to 2020. << I guess...
In case Adobe doesn't know exactly what we're talking about, here are some of the typical problems that various people of various nationalities have complained about over the years.

1. Real time change cursor edege function. That's mean exactly FUNCTION what Adobe add. But who need that?

2. GPU issue?. I am suspicious because there are people who said that I can turn off graphics acceleration.

3. Window10 issue? However, people who use MAC also have the same symptoms.

4. 3D Hover Function problem? : I saw hover option in 3D related option among added functions in Photoshop. It is also an option to change it in real time as described in the description. This is related to 3D, but isn't it because of this?

5. Resolution Issues : Not to mention this. Both FHD and 4K have symptoms.

No one wants the ability to change the cursor like this. No one is satisfied. So this is a bug.

This is an issue reported more than a year ago and still without a fix. It's inadmissible that Adobe leaves us having to deal with this ridiculous issue that hinders our workflow all day long for more than a year. When will we have a fix for that?!?!?!

Good for you! Maybe if we all do and copy the URL for this forum, they will start to maybe listen to their users...
