P: Materials panel does not open

Non si apre più la finestra dei MATERIALI, cosa posso fare?

My graphics card is enabled and I have plenty of memory however, I cannot access the materials panel. When I go to Window>Materials and click on it it simply closes the dropdown and returne me to my image.

How can I acces the materials panel?

Hi @SC Oly User Well, there could be a few things going on. First, what mode is your image in? Also, you need to be working on a valid layer, which is either a pixel layer or a selection on a pixel layer, or a smart object. If you create a new artboard and draw out any shape, can you access the Materials panel? It's working for me in this quick test. (Windows 10, Photoshop 24.0.1 Release)

J E L I have a photo that is open in PS and I copied the background layer. I am on Windows 11 and PS 24.1.0. I also tried a new document and in neither case did Materisal open for me.

@AxelMatt - in my reply I already tried resetting Preferences. It made no difference

Do you tried to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

Preferences in Photoshop (adobe.com)

Please backup your settings before resetting the preferences. You can check:

Migrate presets, actions, and settings (adobe.com)

It looks like a bug in 24.1 - I am unable to open it here either. Resetting preferences has no impact.

I'll move this to bugs
