Photoshop CC 2014, CC, and CS6 mouse click getting stuck bug in Lion, Mountain Lion, and Yosemite, but not in Mavericks. Here's a very annoying bug that has been popping up in various versions of Photoshop and OS X over the past years. I have used many tablets and computers during this time, various versions of Photoshop and OS X, yet this bug remains. The only time I never had the bug was when using Mavericks. The bug involves about every 10th click on the INTERFACE (NOT ON THE CANVAS) getting "stuck". This means that I can click on a slider, a curve point, or anything that's not on the canvas, and even after releasing the mouse/pen, the interface will think I am still clicking until I click again.Video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frZvR... may be an OS X bug since it does not happen in Mavericks but it does happen in Lion, Mountain Lion and Yosemite. However, it only ever happens in Photoshop, and never in any other app. Even in Photoshop, it only ever happens on the interface and not on the canvas. I do use my Wacom Intuos 5 outside of Photoshop so I would notice every 10th click getting stuck over many years of use.Even if it is an OS X bug, it would be great if Adobe could let Apple know since Apple probably will just say it's an Adobe bug, as usual, and it will never get sorted out.MacBook Pro 15 Retina Late 2013, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)Adobe Photoshop Version: 2014.2.1 20141014.r.257 2014/10/14:23:59:59 CL 987299 x64But the bug affects previous versions too, down to CS 6, but not CS 5 and before.

Installed the new Wacom driver for my Intuos tablet. Was able to make the cursor stick in PS CC 2014 after about 5 minutes of working on a file. The cursor sticks when using the Curves adjustment layer and moving the points of the curve.

Sorry about that... it was typo. I'm running the latest of the CC suite. CC 2014. I just downloaded the latest Wacom driver. I'll let you know if that fixes it. The problems seems to occur after using PS for a while.

There is no CC 2015 at this time. What are you using? And have you updated your Wacom driver.

If you are using a tablet - check with the tablet maker for updated drivers. Wacom had an issue like this which was fixed several months ago.

CC 2015 here. This problem still exists. I get stuck mouse clicks with Wacom pen and apple mouse. I hate it as it disrupts my workflow. I'm living with it, but I hope it gets fixed soon.

I'm using CC2014. I didn't know it was supposed to be fixed. I still experience an issue however where the app thinks the pen is being held down, and it's not something wrong with the pen because no other application has this problem. And it only happens to the interface in Photoshop, not the actual canvas.

Which version of Photoshop are you using?
For older versions, you probably need the WhiteWindowWorkaround plugin to work around known bugs in MacOS.
For Photoshop CC 2014 and later, the workarounds are already built into the application.

Did you install the WhiteWindowWorkaround plugin to work around known MacOS issues?

So any updates on this? This is causing me quite a bit of headache.

Also. Photoshop is the only application which does this for me so why would this be classified as an Apple problem?

Always blaming it on Apple. Sounds like the standard Adobe company line. This DOESN'T happen in other applications, so how is it an Apple issue? This is singly the most annoying bug ever. When this problem occurs while dragging a layer, you are stuck. No other functionality within Photoshop can be accessed. Yet, other running applications operate normally. Unfortunately, when this occurs to me with CC14, my only choice is to force quit Photoshop, and I lose changes since last normal save, or the last time Photoshop wrote out recovery information. This is utter crap that Adobe has obviously known about for a while, and yet it continues to be unresolved. And now, it is lumped in to the nebulous "Apple Issues" bucket, so it will likely never be resolved. Great customer service from Adobe.
